Mages are butter, die in one hit, how supost we will survive in pvp without personal healer? no point meles have more rang damage without cast, more mobility, better armor and more defensives.

You have to realize that burst damage is generally decreasing and mages aren’t the only class losing defensives. CC is also being reduced, which means you won’t need as many defensives either. You need to think about the bigger picture, not just focus on mages and assume War Within burst will keep going into Midnight.
Side note: Right now, Mages in the Midnight beta are really strong and Frost in particular is insane.
IF mages would get those things back you mentioned, you know that would not work. When other classes are losing mobility,CC,Damage and defensives. That would make Mages basically unkillable.
No other class lost as much as mage, all clases have self healing, non dispelleable defensives, more damage, better armor, more hp, same or better mobility, instant rang cc it doesn´t break with damage and not heal the enemy like poli and some classes are rang without cast doing more damage than mage dont make any sense mage are completly garbage and boring in midnight pvp
For PvP I can’t comment. In the end it is a cc game to me. And your best defensive is always distance, not any button. That is why I am bad at pvp I guess…
For PvE I’d say a 20 second recharged Ice Barrier is all you need. Just don’t waste it and time it for big damage that is coming. Ice Block remains our best friend as ever.
In PvE my issue is our slows do not work for bosses. It makes mage very squishy in Delves. Because, as I said, the best defensive mage has is distance. It won’t work against bosses, therefore we are naked against bosses and our success usually depends on the boss standing still in order to cast its own abilities and us nuking in down inbetween.
You need a geared brann or a tank friend for delves. Maybe wait for bloodlust and burst like hell on bosses otherwise
