9.1.5 Content Update Preview

Most likely one for 5k badges, as usual.

Well, it is content. It’s just a minor patch.

What do you think ,which one will it be  ?

Blizz, if you haven’t thought of mounts to go on the Legion tw vendor I have two suggestions:
. [Molten Flarecore] (already in the game files, so I see how that’d be easy to implement)
.Reins of the Felskorn Stormwing (my own suggestion and what I’d ideally like to see, based on this model: (google ‘green stormdrake’ for what I mean). Saw those guys on the Broken Shore and it would’ve been perfect for ToS’ glory, but now there’s a new opportunity to have it in-game!)

I’m really happy about the covenant, conduit energy changes, but for christ sake, please actually learn from your mistakes after idk how many years at this point, instead of just saying it, and stop implementing obnoxiously restrictive systems to the game just to revert them later after the sub numbers are low enough. I respect that you guys have ideas, but if people are against that idea from day 1 of alpha testing, then just accept it, and don’t force it on players.

PS: Opening scenario skip should be available on expansion launch, as soon as you do it with one character, because even if it’s a good scenario, it just becomes a boring chore to go through it again and again.

Too bad i m quitting the game tomorrow. Well good games to who ever continues. Don’t expect 9.2 before 2 February 2022. I can’t do Korthia for the next 5-7 months. See ya if you play Lost Ark in December.

Only took 9 months after the expansion went live to try and address system issues that players identified during the beta; this must be a new personal best for Blizz!

It would be nice to sometimes listen to your players and clean up your mess on time ie before 80% of the players cancel the sub, of which 60% will not return regardless of the changes you plan to implement.

this is all nice and good - but it will not bring people back to the game. I feel you kinda miss the point here. Most of this stuff is cosmetic. Which is nice for people that play a lot or are excited about the game. But people are not.

In the last week it felt like half the player base dropped the game. I play on a very popular server, Korthia is empty at times. It is very hard to recruit anyone for raids any more and it also takes longer to find people for World Bosses and other grouped world quests. Of course noone but Blizzard has the numbers but it feels like half the people are gone.
And when we take into account that an estimated 400 000 people were actually raiding at 9.1 then this is a disaster.

I honestly think WoW is running it’s course if Blizzard does not get an enthusiastic team of developers any time soon. (and pay them well and not harass them)
I’ve been playing for a while now - years, multiple expansions and raid contents. Ever since random drops for legendaries got introduced in Legion I have less and less interest in the game.
I have a ton of mounts, why should I collect more? I don’t care any more. I have some transmogs, but why would I collect more when there is noone to show them off to?
I would care about achievements and collectibles, if you could still impress people with this. But you can’t.

The main reason is that this game is pay to win now and it ruins everything. Literally.

You can’t even use /2 trade chat any more because it is just used for boosting. the group finder is usable again - after boosting advertisements where banned from that.
You get less and less players that actually care about playing the game because they could just buy curve and get loot from boosters. Why even play the game when you can have it played for you.
There is almost no achievement or item in the game that is “worth” anything any more because of boosters.

It heavily influenced how people play the game and what they expect from other players. there is very little sense of community any more, everything is supergrindy so that more people stop grinding and buy the boost already. Many mechanics clutter the game and aren’t even that much fun.

What used to be talents is now soulbinds. More randomness on randomness.
There are a ton of legendaries and there is very little choice in which you can actually play. I play shadow mostly, I can either play the Mindbender leggy or the Necrolord - I am not necrolord. As a third choice Talbadars is relatively good but everything else is just rubbish. And I mean grey item rubbish.
There is very little choice for me here while the system pretends to leave a lot of choice.
Same with the covenants. People pick the best one and are done with it.
Changing a covenant is a mess now. I did it twice on one character. It takes way too long to catch up to 50 for most benefits.
Playing an Alt is impossible because it’s too much time investment - but hey, you could buy boosts for that alt! Wouldn’t that be fun?!

The dungeons are still designed for story and not for a competitive M+. There are people at blizzard responsible for MDI!!! like it’s their job! and then dungeons get designed and not fixed that are horrible to walk in. They are no fun at all. Why didn’t you ask people that know about dungeons and what’s fun in them before you designed them?

The borrowed power system is fine, but don’t spread it over 20 different mechanics.
The repgrind for the 2nd season socket is horrible (again like Venari) and why would you even allow a 2nd option that costs 1000 of the currency you need for legendaries?! who designs this? What are these choices?

I am sorry. But Blizzard is more and more out of touch what people enjoy in this game and what is just an extra. Your base is rotting away and you make a fancy roof.

When you look at the game from the perspective of someone who wants to make as much money as possible from it then a lot of the stuff makes sense.
More and more tedious grinds and tasks are required. Raiders are often required to run M+ keys by their guilds, or lower difficulties on their own to get gear that the raid is no longer willing to farm for them. People need to go two wings of torghast. There are so many timesinks in this game that are not that much fun and it is the perfect setup if you want to sell gold as a company and then have people buy a boost.
The legendary crafting system is just there so people buy gold from blizzard.
On most servers only a couple of people can craft T4/6 legendary bases and this is enough. The market doesn’t need more than that.
The materials are still relatively expensive and - guess what you can buy gold in the shop.
Raidflask? Bufffood? Buy gold in the shop.
The answer to so many things is just buy gold in the shop - or do tedious tasks.

Why am I still playing? I like the raid and there’s a handful of people that still play the game like it was played in the past. you can have some fun in this game. but it gets harder and harder.

I honestly think this game will run it’s course soon-ish. We are probably at Elder Scrolls Online numbers now. It will probably never die completely, the money grab will get harder and the content will be thinner. There will be more cosmetic stuff but in the end it’s for a game that is not as much fun any more as it was.
and the main reason for this is the designers are obviously not enthusiastic about this game - or there is very little money put into this game any more and enthusiastic people can’t create their dreams any more.
The world design of shadowlands not as good as it has been in past expansions, the dungeons are not designed for farming or competitive play, the raids are interesting bosses in the same room over and over again. (oh please remind me of how different the council room in Nathria looked - this fixes everything! do me a favor go into Naxxramas or Throne of Thunder or pretty much every other raid)
The whole borrowed power system is cluttered - it is needed in a way but not in this complexity.
Why do raid items have sockets? Why not put them into the soulbinds? So people can exchange raid and m+ gear? why is m+ ilvl from the weekly chest still so crazy high?

In a perfect world gold from the shop would never have been introduced. It took the value of everything. Not that people weren’t buying gold illegal before, but I can’t imagine they did it on this scale. and also I think they still do it. Because there is so much gold from the wow shop flooding into the game, booster can no longer dump it. they probably sell that gold illegal and make a real life profit again. So the idea blizzard had to make it legal and stop the scams and fix the system did not work out. What worked out was that blizzard made more money. And in return the game got worse. And you have to riddle me this - how can you make more money and then deliver on a worse product.

The worst thing about these changes is that it took you over a year to do them when players asked for them since BETA. WHY?!

Because it’s intentional, technically people requested this since BfA beta. Same stupid systems packaged slightly different and here they are again with the same exact fixes they added in BFA. Hell, start of Legion if you really wanna go back.

Listen. At the end of the day, major changes need to happen. You’ve lost a HUGE amount of your player base over the years. I think we can all agree, the main goal here is to bring those player, new and old, back to Azeroth.

  1. PVP is not interesting. The system is flawed, battlegrounds are boring and everything else about it is stale. Resilience was great. What happened to it.

  2. I’m not interested in you doing short cuts with regards to Alts or levelling another character. To be quite honest. If you want to role another character, then you do it. I don’t want effort being put into things that don’t really matter. You’ll get to level 60 all the same. Pick a cov all the same and progress the same.

  3. We need a place where we can openly TALK TO YOU GUYS. We want communication from now on. From your post, you clearly listen to us, but you don’t want to be heard by us. We’re here to help and guide and develop this game just as much as you are. We’re your target market. Make it work for us.

  4. Heritage armours? Weapons? That’s been asked for, for a while now.

You could go on and on, but that’s the point. There must be a platform now, where we can have constructive conversations with you guys. That’s the step forward and that’s how we’re going to sort this all out. We want to be heard and we want to communicate with you. Please.

Haha what a joke. How many times we see same stuff? I which they were a bit more smarter and pulled the ripcord before they crashed. They are trying for damage damage control but patient is already dead. They will reverse some stupid implementations for this expansion and same BS will happen in next expansion too. They are too arrogant to listen players but maybe not being top mmo might help them learn to listen.

This is the reward after so many years in World of Warcraft. A package just for customizing items and heroes. How much longer with the next patch as the world is already moving from wow to other games. You will have until the end of the year will provide a maximum of 1 million players. You have a whole shtty system regarding the gold trance between your characters on another realm as if it’s not your account and you can’t send gold between characters on another realm. Do something about it when you no longer have a subscription to be able to put together gold from all the features to be able to pay, not to force me to play on 1 character to farm your 2 lei nonsense that has been implemented for years…
