A mash up of WoW and Diablo. What would you think?

I were talking to some guildies the other night about what we would love to see after the last titan. We were talking about how we would love to go back to low fantasy kind of RPG like the elwynn forest experience fighting gnolls hogger etc.

I then said to the guys what about an expansion set in the world of Diablo basically the ARPG everyone loves but within the world of warcraft like a complete mash up. We have all the classes and m+ soon to have some world tiers. I think it could be an easy win for blizzard and something quite cool. Could even add the dye system for armor.

Let me know what you guys would think.

so a world of diablo?

a mmorpg?

been talked about but it whould be too dark and ppl get depressed.

thats what they said anyways.

We had this discussion already

Sounds like an idea people would be interested in then?

No
Not really

I’d prefer a mash up with Final Fantasy over Diablo.

WiabloW!

World of Diablocraft!

Hard Pass.

Diablo / World of Sanctuary is a bit of an acquired taste. It has great elements for fantasy, don’t get me wrong, but it also has a lot that really does not fit WoW’s narrative.

Diablo in a standalone MMO format has more desireable qualities.

You already have that coming with Heroic world tier.

I would love a standalone diablo mmo… could be real interesting

I mean, the next time Diablo 4s original launch date comes around (they did give us Tier 2 recolors) they could make this time have us get Diablo 4-inspired armor sets in WoW. These armor sets could be inspired by different major lore characters of Diablo.

To name (at least 1) example for each class in WoW rn:

  • Inarius/Tyrael/Prava - Priest
  • Imperius - Paladin
  • Butcher - Demon Hunter
  • Barbarian - Warrior
  • Lillith/Mephisto - Warlock
  • Malthael - Death Knight
  • Isendra/Matthias (the pale dude from the D4 cinematic trailer) - Mage
  • Diablo - Evoker
  • Sister of the Sightless Eye - Hunter
  • Valla - Rogue
  • Deckard Cain - Monk
  • Airidah - Druid
  • Eru - Shaman

Absolutely not. The moment we get cross-over content, I’m out. Mounts and mogs from other franchises are already stretching it.

It is bad, but the Murlock or Yeti onesies are way worse if you ask me…
I would rather have a tons of improted mogs and mounts than suffer the sight of those abominations

Wow heroic, the first pass of a “challenging” world probably ups the challenge, world gear etc. from Adventurer tier to Veteran which is basically nothing.

It needs to be increaseable up to Torment X, M+10, Delve Tier11 etc. of a challenge to ever stay interesting and relevant.

I would quit in an instant, to be honest.
I’ve succesfully avoided any and all Diablo since I quit Diablo 2 many many moons ago and I never want to play that IP ever again.

But why did you quit it, if I may ask?

Because I was addicted and wasted way too much time doing run after run after run.
I promised myself to never play an ARPG ever again (especially Diablo).

I can see why. But diablo 4 isn’t even remotely close to that addicition factor imo.

I barely play any of the endgame activities because the world becomes so easy pretty quick with some uniques.

Like, I play on Torment II, am already max level and nothing in Lord of Hatred is hard really.

There’s no reason to go play harder difficulties or grind anything when gear from last expansion still is that good.

I want a warcraft isometric ARPG and a diablo mmorpg. So basically both universes in the other type. As completely separate games that is, no crossing over. And the “mmo” experience of D4 does nothing for me, I treat it as a singleplayer but lack my handy pause button. Would have to be WoW with a diablo universe skin.
