Greets! Our guild would love to fill in even more spots into our raid roster and have more pals to do m+ with, and we always love more green chat in /g!
The Jist
Ronín has been around since vanilla WoW - I joined myself towards the end of vanilla and have been in the guild since during 14 odd years of consistent play. We have endured this time keeping our guild culture and priorities that put people and fun first - and progress a close second. Our guild started on the server Magtheridon, moved to Darksorrow at Lich King launch, and then moved to Argent Dawn at Legion launch.
Our members are all adults, and we understand that IRL is a weight everyone must juggle alongside wanting to push progress in PvE.
Several of our members are playing together 14 years, but we have also added a ton of new friends in Shadowlands! We operate a zero-pressure policy for raid attendance and make raiding easy for people who don’t have time to sweat in-game 24/7.
But when we raid - it’s time to put gamefaces on and push hard. We respect each members’ time and efforts - meaning that the raid environment is aimed at killing bosses and making the best use of those raiding hours - not to faff about or struggle on bosses we shouldn’t struggle on. For example- we are glad to boost our less-geared members/socials/newbies for bosses we have on farm - but benchings happen once the raid starts to slow down wipe where they shouldn’t.
We have a very dedicated handful of officers who assist making m+ groups happen (tanking, healing etc), and to be there for our guild as both fellow players and fellow humans, struggling together in this rat race of IRL.
Who would find a good home in Ronín?

If you’re a skilled player and want to raid, but don’t have the time to farm up all the consumables, you’re a good fit for us. We provide flasks, food, potions, runes, armor kits, and repairs for all our raiders every single raid.

If you’re a social who just wants to log in and do casual content, you’re a good fit for us. We have several players who just like to log on and chat and do solo content.

If you’re a new player who wants to learn the ropes and start getting serious about raiding, you’re a good fit for us. We will have patience with your learning, and experience to share and help you grow.

If you like to get serious and occasionally do some coordinated m+ with people who take it seriously, you’re a good fit for us. You’ll always have a good vault ready every week.

If the most important thing for you is friends and community and a healthy social environment, you’re a good fit for us. We have a zero-tolerance policy for toxicity - there’s enough of that elsewhere and someone who brings a consistently negative or rude attitude to the guild is plainly not welcome. You’ll never get harassed or any hassle here, regardless of what path you walk in life.

If you’re looking to just hammer m+ all day and expect to have a full group for hardcore +15s and up Mythics any time of day, we would not fit that bill. Our folks have jobs to work, kids to look after, and batteries to recharge.

If you’re looking to immerse in a totally sweaty culture where the one, the only goal is to push Mythic raids and have zero tolerance for failure - that’s not us. My respect to those people though.
Our raids
Progress raids are on Thursday @ 20 server, and Sunday @ 19 server. Funruns/chill raids are on Wednesday @ 20 server.
Raids go for 3 hours at a time. We have at least two breaks of ~5mins, on the hour roughly. People are welcome also to go AFK for IRL during trash with no worries.
Our raids are reliably 15-20 people in attendance.
We operate a loose Loot Council method of handling tradeable loot. I feel that pure /rolls for loot throws planning out the window and breeds frustration over time. Generally three factors are considered - BiS items/stats, raid attendance, and the fact it’s generally better to gear up DPS before other roles. We gear up as a team.
As mentioned above - raiders also have access to a tab in the guild bank stocked full of combat potions, armor kits, weapon buffs, and we provide feasts, cauldrons, and vantus runes for raid nights. Our raiders basically need to do zero farming.
We are 9/10 heroic and have Sylvanas reliably into phase 3 (after one night of hammering the encounter so far). Nights where we have a full 20 people, we will also start going into mythic.
What specs/roles do we need for our team?
We eagerly seek a mage to fill in that int buff and round out the raid comp. We also seek any dps players of any class and spec - the more the merrier.
Folks are welcome to play whatever spec/covenant etc they please - zero judgement from us. So long as a person carries their weight in the raid - they’ll be welcome, and even if they don’t - they’ll still be welcome in the raids until it becomes a numerical obstacle (and then benchings happen, no harm no foul).
