Below is currently a WIP - a full google doc is currently being created to fully outline the history and the Story of the CoL so themes are subject to change
The Covenant was the fourth and smallest resistance that was seeking to escape from Lordaeron towards the Dwarven lands of Khaz Modan within its clutch where mainly women and children and a small detachment of footmen and some priests from the Temple of Light in Stratholme and the city and surrounding areas of Lordaeron Lead by the Paladin Gregory Edmunson, along with the Circle of Holy Light Led by the Paladin Halahk the Lifebringer, the Defenders of Justice led by Paladin Martoth the Defender and finally the Crippling Force led by the Paladin Dagren the Orcslayer, all served the Silver Hand sadly all fell under the weight of the Arthas and his scourge.
Only the Covenant survived due to a single priestess who gave her life to let the Covenant have theirs.
“… And she took upon herself the light for she was the light and she rose upon the skies with wings like that of a bird and with her wrath did she smite the undead that did follow us and where once the unholy did stand all that was left was ash, and in a blinding flash
she was no more…”

G I:
The Covenant is a role-playing guild here to be that of your traditional, scholarly church guild with small touches of militaristic < RP-PVP healing wounded etc>
If you would like you could see the guild as a military light-based or purely “Monk like”guild, but in time I am hoping the Covenant actually offers a broad spectrum in terms of what makes Light-based RP enjoyable and so can have an appeal for a large variety of players characters.
However order naturally falls in line with Light-based ideals so its a no to fel-magic, necromancy, shadow magic.
The Covenant accepts role-players who prefer to portray more experienced characters, as well as those who are more interested in a simple life within a light-based guild
Just remember anyone can follow the path of the Holy Light, and the Covenant of Light welcomes any who follow its illumining path. Most of its members are human, but the Covenant does not discriminate.
