A small contingent of Free Company militiamen have been diverted from the Burning Steppe front to investigate assertions of the occult seeping into Darkshire.

Word is delivered to the Capital through runners bearing fliers - and sealed scrolls. Unlike many of the militia’s summons, this message bears a uniquely stylized symbol of the Holy Light in its corners.
"The omnipresence of evil in Stormwind’s once Brightwood is now a fact of life. That is not stated, however, to excuse inaction or complacency at any level. The lingering threat of maleficarum anywhere in the Kingdom must be stamped out posthaste and with due prejudice.
Free individuals in possession of good conscience and the will to do what is necessary are hereby bid to amass upon the Grand Hamlet; trackers, clergy folk and volunteer blades among others are highly valued in this endeavor.
To the enemies of the Kingdom, heed these words:
