oh ok well then maybe he needs to understand that other server were extremely competitive with lots of bracket griefing and ranking was a literal full time job. Like I know someone that paid 500€/week to someone else to rank for him while he was at work.
How it was easy exactly? We had full premadaes mostly at weekends up to early sunday, rarely monday as most no jobbers were capped. I personaly never bought gold and was still attending weekly guild raids. I was often participing in wpvp missing some premadeprimetimes. While on overpopuladed realms you got into premade fast or you made instantly one. Means lightining fast compared to zt where we started as 4 man premade already playing in bg till full fill up.
As note lots of people did at the time wirk around with transfering to dead realms to get easy R14.
I dont need understand that you had 2milion honor cap. You need understand consequences of playing on overpopulated realms or medium populated or underpopulated and take advatages what each offer.
And not complain about how were gamemechanics set. Just think before decision and live with your decision and get out of it as much you want. Not to be greedy and then complain because lack of perception.
Not even mentioning metakek players went all horde in 2019 and havin 3x longer quetimes than allies and blame everyone else around for their choice.

Stick what you have choosen or just adjust to reality and go there where it fits you more.

it’s delulu because you got rank for free thanks to your pre existing meta knowledge of population trends and now you want to deny others easy ranking so your knowledge doesn’t lose it’s relevancy.
I got ranking easier because I was smarter with trends and I knew what it will look like with bgs and overpopulation servers before even classic started and made all my friends roll on RP-PVP server and Alliance because of that even all they wanted go Horde. I got my ranking harder because I want richier life than only sit at computer all the time with no job Slept 4 hours a day to get r12 for 2 months.
Dont think that no jobbers had it harded with ranking even on overpopulated servers. Or those guys had it harder just because they paid someone 500 bucks to play instead them. Thats really delululu thinking they it hard xD

Elwenil, you were a nelf hunter on RP-PvP in vanilla and you were a nelf hunter on RP-PvP in classic. (Just as I was a human mage) It wasn’t some strategic choice, you just lucked out your specific brand of nostalgia happened to be on a low pop server with close-knit community where all the people who didn’t have time to rank (like me with 2 small kids at the time) helped out their ranking guildies by inflating the brackets to all hell. Like I said, our low pop server had 8 first bracket slots, and however many lower brackets that entails. That’s absolutely insane if you understood the system. Normally our pop would have 0-1 slot. You got carried hard to your rank 12 and did not even realize it, it seems.
No offense because I’ve known you for near 20 years and you keep the spirit of roleplaying combat in the open world on RP ruleset, but please realize ZT had easiest ranking probably of all Classic, and not on it’s own, but through punishing effort of others.

It hard I just laught out crazy. Same goes for eople with no jobs able to rank 18 hours a day. Dude the guy who love pvp and bgs will play bgs 16 hours a day. I personaly did that on retail just for loving bgs for one year period playing over 100 hours a week just out of passion when I could live out of partime jobs. Its complete nonsense to claim that ranking is hard if you love pvp and have set up all variables in your favour.
I rolled Alliance because in 2019 it was clear horde will have much mote people in que for bgs. Most of my RL friends wanted go horde. My logic arguments made them change mind and we ended Aliance. We choosed RP-pvp server because I knew that certain personality types which are rate within society prefer RP-pvp servers make in game experience amazing. That came out of experience from retail where I played on such servers and had also played on PVP servers myself within limited time on retail for realizing how shallow minmaxers make the game. And knew similar experience will be on overcrowded minmaxing sweatlords servers.
Do I ofend people with these words? Maybe. But ranking in 2019 was as hard as you made it to yourself. If you cant comprehend choices and opportunities within your limits, thats your problem.
They are dead because people are taking the easiest route to r14. Maybe some premades will go once they have r14. There are some nice items on exalted level but I don’t know anyone that is jumping at the thought of spamming wsg or ab to get exalted because of how little rep you get. If the gains would match av perhaps more people would do them

They would deffo do them if they were at 2019 rates and game mechanics. First they would not have other choice, second its part of game that still atracts certain spectrum of community.
Completely agree. Best solution imo would be to radically increase the honor gained from WSG and AB. That gives at least a fun grind for alts and such.

Ive come to terms with the state of classic PVP in 2025 - DEAD ( only av sweat grinding )
Honestly if you want to jump in and have fun in PVP with low Que times and decent balance - CATA is probably the best version right now - and MOP is PEAK PVP

How is it dead? There are always few games rolling both in AB and WSG. When I want some fresh PvP, I’m going there. It’s very fun and not dead. Most people are not interested with PvP, I guess, but for selected few it’s there. The only issues with PvP that I personally see are orcs, mages and consumables. If those would not be allowed, PvP would be ideal.
You been on classic 2019? Wsg and AB were meta, and no matter what one button rotation players say, wsg and AB were peak BGs and not every game you faced premade that nonsense. I played a lot with 2-3 friends and even pugs with 2 stacks did beat premades sometimes or equal farm them on honor in AB with certain strategies.
Now you are stucked with AV meta. I bet you can not even turn it in turtle or you will get ban thanks to rushing sweatlords in AV.
Wsg and ab and also AV ques were long only for horde in 2019.
Wsg and ab pretty much poped insta since honor reset to sundays in 2019 classic.
In SoD they did a change to AB. As long as your team got 1200 honor you got an extra mark and your turn in got you more honor.
What i would like to see is the rep would increas in both AB and WSG thewn change AV to be build on recourses as it will be changed to.
I dont know maby they can change so the higer rank you got the more honor you gain for AB and WSG.

Ab and wsg can be pretty fast honor if you play on weeknd with premade fast games.
But thats not for avreage players sadly.
Another issue with wsg is that you have bis bracers for exalted (yes i grinded wsg to exalted on anniversary).
But the rep is so slow. On avreage if you lucky you win a game in 15 mins. Thats 800-1k rep per hour… Which is 33 hours or more to get bracers😅
