Also nobody in my social guild of althoholisc who do no M+ and raiding likes this essence system. A lot even unsubbed and said cya with shadowlands. Too much grind everywhere for the ‘casual’ WQ gamer. Alts are unplayable.
They can not get nice azerite pieces because no M+ and no raid, they can not get nice essences, they dislike the coal grind and the horrific visions, etc.

You seem to be one of those rep grinders/essence farmers who have 0 clue of the grind the “real” players do. You’re telling me having catch up for essences such as Blood of the enemy isn’t required? or all of the revered reps? Instead of thinking you’re full legitness, actually play the game on a high level, then you can sit on your pedestal and judge people. The point in this discussion is that ALTS need catch-up. Your point is “We COULD have gotten them in the time, and doesn’t take long” but when you spend “real” time in M+, raiding, arenas consistently… that time goes. On top of that, the majority here does not have time with their irl priorities to spend re-grinding the SAME content they have ALREADY completed in the first place. It’s due to casuals like yourself that this game has gone downhill. Change my mind.
You dont need essences on alts. Alts are not supostu tackle high end content. You are not asking for playable alts. You are askibg for playable multiple mains. And this was never case in wow where people could play multiple mains and keep them compettive.
In the meantime in Legion and in BFA before essences we were pretty good able to play 2 chars. With 1 probably ahead. But the 2nd was playable.
If you are telling me alts aren’t required, you have 0 idea yet again. People have alts for boosting, especially in PvP. You can’t arena coach/boost on a “main” as you need it for yourself. Additionally, same applies to M+ boosting and so on. Even when raiding at high levels, multiple alts with EQUAL gear/essences to your main is required for the purpose of progression. So don’t preach to me that you “don’t need alts” in this game. Else, you are just a casual.
Yes and people been asking for meanigfull character progression what they could target and work on becouse most people have been runnigg out of content as gearing become way too fast and way too easy.
Except that was by far the minority. My guild was happily playing pre essences. And our complete gear is RNG. Now even more with corruption. No gear to work for at all. Essences did not change that.
Yes i am just casual just like about 95% of playerbase so your imput isnt relevant. And Blizz will definitly not butcher this system just to give advantage to elites on top. Essences are perfect way for casual player to progress their character without need of tackle high end content. Without it they would run out of stuff to do fast as gearing on casual level is way too fast.

Because IT’S OUTDATED!!! The time has passed and Joe got at the right time into current patch and he is lucky, no more of that old content. Joe is happy, since he heard how bad its been in the past.

Ive been playing since 2005 so i would know and also put the money into this game but there is life here on EARTH and not all can sit 20h by wow anymore.

YOU might not need them, since why would casuals want it? it gives YOU content because you do no OTHER content in this game. Players who actually TRYHARD don’t have time to do casual content.
