Got same sword on a DK , following an agility fist weapon from the community feast. I’ve no idea at all what loot spec is doing currently.

Hasn’t it always been that they only garuntee that its an item you can use, but not necessarily one thats for your spec?

No.
Shadowlands had similar weekly quests, and the items generally followed loot specialisation.
But this goes even beyond spec - a DK or Warrior being awarded a sword with only intellect on is stretching ‘item you can use’ to beyond breaking.

Whilst I understand rares dropping specific lists of items, which may be in keeping with the new loot design choice but has it’s own issues - a reward box that comes from a quest should be absolutely relevant to your spec.

Even at the /very/ least it should be within class requirements.

Hey all,

While the weekly reward will offer any loot, for any specialisation of your class, it should not offer 2h weapons with INT for classes with no INT spec. This has been forwarded to our developers for investigation.

Unfortunately, customer won’t be able to change the item obtained.
