Alliance-Horde treaty

My troll here’s relieved Sylvanas is gone but doesn’t trust the Alliance at all.
Dem humans goon’ do somethin’ soon. Dey be plottin’! Fo’ sure!!

My night elf is a pool of mixed feelings - she wants revenge but at the same time appreciates the chance to take a breather - she doesn’t believe the treaty nor peace to last.

To be fair, Blizzard said the same thing in 5.4. The rebels, even with the Alliance at their back, were apparently desperate against Garrosh and the Kor’kron - ‘We got to attack, here, now, or we’ll be running all our lives!’

Don’t pay it too much heed, it’s just Blizzard sensationalism. Every fight has to be desperate.

My characters are either too selfish or too malevolent to actually care. A ceasefire will be seen as little more than a safer road while doing their own thing. I’ve generally not been involved with faction-heavy RP on most characters, and am definitely biased OOC because instead of BfA I expected a world revamp + faction disband during the announcement Blizzcon.

Here’s hoping this one delivers instead.

I do think it is too early to talk about a lasting peace or any sort of treaty. Patch 8.3 is bound to bring some continuation to the conflict - relating to Tyrande’s absence, etc.

That said, as things stand now, Naoru is optimistic. Considering that the Horde have been the instigators and warmongers of this conflict, he thinks the Horde should be happy that the head of the Alliance is even considering peace at all.

But he got what he wanted. The potential of a less hostile world for his family to grow in and the framework for restoring the Horde to its former Thrall-era glory that he values so much.

“These are Interesting times, Summerisle, Peace. Peace at last. Did not you say that this was all you ever wanted for your children?, to grow up in Peace? Brigante bristled “And this is why you took so many fliers from my Escadrille, and worse, made others redundant? Because of -Peace-? You think it will make peace when they find -Her-? Yes I wanted Peace, of course I did, for my -Children-. But!. The Six Councillors shifted, their cowled faces revealing nothing to him, or each other, one spoke. “The Orders came through from the Spire. That is where the reassignments came from. Not us. We could sit in session, Commandant, but it would make no difference, The Regency has, with other Horde rulers, entered into a cessation of hostilities with the Alliance, and you, as a loyal officer, must comply, else become a traitor, and we know you are not that., such is reserved for the people who follow the worst excesses, beyond the manner of their people and refuse to lay down arms, such as, what was it,?”

Another Councillor coughed “Razor, I believe”

“Exactly! You have no desire to end up betraying the Regency, and acting against the Alliance at this time, I mean only criminals would do such, those disavowed by their nation and faction.”

Brigante mumbled, his head in gauntleted hands, they could not hear him at first, until he repeated it a second time “Give me back my War”.

The Councillors hoods turned to each other, slowly they all nodded.

“We cannot do that, Commandant, that is out of your, or our hands, we cannot ‘give you back your war, whatever that is’ and have to remind you -yet again- that to War upon any Alliance forces, would be a crime against the Regency… Naturally (The voice grew louder) Any Alliance Forces Who Have Been Disavowed By Said Faction Are Not Covered.

‘Razor?’ Brigante asked with a crooked smile. The colwed figure spoke sternly “I believe, no, I know, that his flavour of Ren’dorei have went even too far for the manner of people such as ‘Magister’ Umbric, and he has been disavowed, one could call them criminals, disavowed by their nation and faction.””

The cowled figure nodded, “consider it an early birthday present, Commandant. Razor is free game, you have your war back….”

Thats pretty much his opinion on any ‘Treaty’

Essentially the same format for most of my characters, although with some obvious differences.

Brother Lukas is only pleased she’s gone because it means more potential for chaos, and chaos = :hamburger: for N’Zoth.

My Orc and my Blood Elf while never too keen on how Sylvanas ruled, did think she had at least the interest of the Horde in general at heart, Blood Elf in particular with him being of a Farstrider background himself (similar along the lines to what Lor’themar said really).

My Warlock is probably my only Horde character who was somewhat sympathetic to her method of governance, and is the character I actually have done the sycophant side of the war campaign on.

Though what I look forward to now is a new Forsaken scene really, its quite a fundamental shift to have the Forsaken without Sylvanas, more so than Orcs without Thrall. My own Forsaken was actually one Desolate Council sympathiser sorts and was deeply disturbed at how Sylvanas reacted to them. Not in a Queenly, regal way but in a despotic, Lich Queen like way.
That said he has always been more a theocratic religious fundamentalist type Forsaken so having Calia (backed up by his idol Alonsus Faol) lead them would be the ideal way forwards.

Both of my Worgen however will see no difference in the “peace” until each and every Forsaken is put to sword and flame. Considering one is in SI:7 and we know Matthias Shaw has ordered SI:7 to hunt Sylvanas and Nathanos down, he can be sure to be following their rotten scent.

Torahuurn will fight those who threaten his duty. He might’ve been fighting for ages, but he will gladly settle for no more bloodshed. Given the command, he’ll cease fighting

Diarmuid has mixed feelings. On the one hand he is pragmatic enough to realize that the Kaldorei will massively benefit from a ceasefire. They need time to rebuild.

On the other hand he is filled with rage against the Horde and Sylvanas and won’t be satisfied until she is truly dead and gone. As far as the Horde is concerned, he’s willing to make peace but wants Kaldorei lands to close their borders to the Horde and evict any remaining Horde presence out of zones like Ashenvale, Ferals, Darkshore, etc.

Maybe after a few hundred years of the Horde showing it’s capable of living in peace will he trust that peace can last. Right now he just sees it as another opportunity the Horde is taking to dodge any consequences for their actions while gathering strength to attack the Alliance/Kaldorei again.

Also in general, Diarmuid has more racial allegiance than faction. If Tyrande doesn’t agree to the treaty and seeks to continue the war with the Horde, he will gladly follow.

The King of the Humans doesn’t rule over the Kaldorei.

As an act of defiance Mayne will keep singing his carols in the face of any human he meets:

“Slashing through the Orcs,
With a good two-handed blade,
Stomping over corpses,
And in the gore we bathe,
Mace on helmet rings,
Making bodies fly,
What fun to sing our SLAYING song
And watch these HORDIES die!
Oh, ring their heads with swords and spells.
Don’t let 'em get away!
We’re brave and bold for fame and gold
We’ll make a lot today!
Oh, ring their heads with guns and shells,
Don’t let 'em get away!
We’ll hack and slash and blast and trash,
And blow these trolls away!

Crashing through the door
Into Sylvanas’ hall
Our Priestess casts a void bolt
And out her gargoyles fall!
Elven bowstrings sing,
Making tauren fall
And our scout find the secret door
Into their babies’ hall!”

Oh and of course will keep blasting Horde personnel anywhere he can find them.

Kotur is wary. The truce came quite suddenly and he can’t help but worry that it’s going to break soon. However, he’s relieved that the fighting is over for the time being, since his people lost a lot of good fighters and they deserve some rest. He can only hope that the peace shall finally settle in this war-torn world, before more good men and women lose their lives and more families are torn apart.

He will continue keeping his guard up and helping where he can alongside his group.

I actually read this with the jingle bells melody and I love it.

That is why I name this ‘carols’ and yes it is meant to be sung as jingle bells

Alleria also said that Sylv was the only one with an army strong enough to fight N’zoth, I thought?

I mean that’ll change on a dime whenever it suits them (probably 8.3 even) but currently that indicates the Horde’s in a stronger position.

All according to keikaku.

The only constant here is the chad horde.

Alliance? Yeah I guess we’ll let them come along. Varian was allowed to threaten voljin because the troll ultimately found it cute that the alliance thought they had any influence.

This sort of mindset is shown again and again. Nothing can defeat the Horde except for the Horde

Ohh man and here I was thinking the Alliance did had any influence :sob::rofl:

I used the Horde to destroy the Horde.

She did, yeah. It’s very, very clearly hammered in that at that point in time the Loyal Horde was the greatest army on Azeroth.

Wait. How the frick were the Horde losingbin every front then?

That was before the entire alliance fleet fell into a giant ocean-pit in an attempt to take down 3 horde ships
