Alliance Nightborne

Yeah, someone please take those ugly critters off our hands. You can have Vulpera too. Heck, take all our allied races except Mag’har.

I’m all for factionless to be honest.

That would get your Nightborne into the alliance and my void elf into the horde.

Deal?

I really like how people think Elves must automatically team up with humans. Why? This is not lord of the rings. Just because they look similar in body? Or what? The OP saying “joining up with Orcs, again” is the funny part specially. He literally shoehorned all Orcs as one thing that Elves should not ally with.

Orcs had very distinct clans that had their differences and they were corrupted into doing what they did. The entire game of WC3 is Orcs leaving behind that fate and carving their own path outside of war. When blood elves joined, no other race understood fel corruption better than Orcs and so an organic relation was formed between blood elves and the Orcs. Its completely fine.

If you go back to relationship between High Elves and Humans, it was literally bribery and mutual gain. Elves taught humans magic for help of their armies and that is it. They didn’t have much in common and there were no humans in Silvermoon even when they were part of the alliance. I mean did Alliance ever sent any kind of help after the first time they were taught magic to drive the Amani back? Not in my memory. But Elves were used by the Alliance pretty much everywhere.

Tyrande is Garosh 3.0 in queue. With Garosh 2.0 being sylvanus ofc.

Based on the recent Interview with Blizz, no to both those things.

Sure thing! Do we get something too or is it an alliance only thing? If so i’d like void elves or lightforged draenei  I mean it kinda makes sense since we helped them out in argus and everything, right?

Blizzard is setting up the Alliance as villains. It was pretty blatant with Xe’ra’s attempt to force Illidan to give up his scars, you were very overtly shown the dominating, controlling side of The Light, and the Alliance is kind of an extension of The Light.

Mag’har orcs in their allied race quest line say they considered joining the Alliance, but realized it won’t allow them to remain who they are. They only joined the Horde because they felt the Horde won’t force them to abandon their culture and pride.

There’s also that part where I think it was Varian Wrynn tells Sylvanas he will allow the Horde to exist only as long as they don’t act up. There’s a lot of different threads that the Alliance will become villainous much like the Horde has always been. The main difference is that where the Horde is chaotic, the Alliance is focused on order.

Don’t be ridiculous the Alliance never get anything they ask for. You have more chance of a Stormwind City Wall brick becoming an Alliance playable race more than you have something we actually want. Reality I am sorry!!!

I like how wanting something totally makes you correct about everything and when said want does not happen, its blizzard’s fault!

The horde helped the LFD and they joined the alliance. The alliance helped Nightborne and they joined the horde. You also got void elves, which are rapidly rising in popularity. But of course those people are in the game, enjoying their blood elf models, animations and OP racials in the game as alliance, while you whine here. Its usually the complainers who show up on the forums, not satisfied people and this gives you a false sense of being majority or something.

I honestly like the fact that they practically gave night elves to the horde and high/blood elves to the alliance with the allied races.
Especially since other allied races feel like a cheap recolor with different racials. Like honestly lightforged draenei could have been just added customization for the draenei instead of a new race.

They gave us blue Blood Elves, not High Elves.

I bet Sylvanas is going to die in a quest chain in Shadowlands.

And Tyrande is only in the Wrath of the Lich King Garrosh stage in Shadowlands. Next she will be in the Catalysm stage, then MoP stage where she is killed off in a raid.

Void elfs are the only elfs I actually legitimately like.

How so?

If a Blood elf leaves Silvermoon and no longer follows the regime there, they are now a high elf. Its a political spectrum that can begin and end with a whim.

Blood Elves are High Elves, but if you strictly go by the naming, all blood elves who abandon Silvermoon are called high elves. Any High Elf who goes back is now called a blood elf. Given this, the moment those Thalassian Elves abandoned Silvermoon, they were no longer blood elves. So Void Elves are High Elves as well.

Not true no.
Kael’thas renamed the High Elven people to Blood Elves to remember those who lost their lives during the scourge’s rampage.

It is not some political name that you get or lose, it is something you accept to honor those who died.

Which is why the elves on Alliance not calling themselves Blood Elves are d***s.

They’re not, actually. High Elves are those who either never left the Alliance or were exiled for refusing to suck the mana out of living beings. Those are the High Elves as identified in-game. They just happen to share the race’s general name - High Elves. Blizz should really change this group of Thalassian elves’ name to avoid further confusion among the playerbase.

Pathetic!

We are the Horde!

You want to join those tree hugging edgy eggplants?! Where is your pride?!

That is not mutually exclusive with what I said. We have had high elves joining Silvermoon who are now called blood elves, and we have had some leave post renaming by Kael’thas who are now called High Elves.
