Early in the start of the season when I saw how easy +10s were.
I hoped into +8 with my alt instantly to get a +7 keystone to start off with. You get free keystone(minus 1 level) at the end of the dungeon if you had none at the start.
Should have probably jumped straight into +11s but didnt want to “push my luck” too much.
Play a key higher than yours, fill Vault slots, get a higher key next weekly reset.
That’s one way to do it.
Otherwise, find some players the old-fashioned way or a guild and do it with them.
Not everything needs to be a handholding situation. Geez, it really feels like as if humanity unlearned being social and asking strangers for help. Imagine making friends naturally that way.
i dont complain per say, but i think its dumb that your key starts at such a laughable low level that literally zero people in the game wants to do it. tried queueing up my key and didnt get a single sign up for 10 minutes, 0. gl finding a healer or tank doing that.
and yes i have friends that can just boost me in 10’s which have now been done. but how is that a good solution?
starting your key at 10 if you have mains with 3k score ( just a random number idea not set in stone) would really improve the situation.
If multiple people play on the same account, it could be detrimental to someones experience if they all start on a higher key level because of 1 character. Sure, they can de-rank the key, but that’s as much of an annoying thing for them as it is for you right now.
Also, additional note. If a player is trying a new class out, they might want to play on a lower key difficulty to get used to the role/spec/class in endgame play.
On top of that, not everyone even knows they can de-level their key at the Mythic+ Portal NPC. You overestimate the awareness of this playerbase.
I encountered multiple players this season that never heard of having an interrupt on their class.
Maybe to others like you and me. I still see often enough people struggling with keys lower than that. And people that join the season late don’t have the item level yet as we do.
Well, for one that is why the +12 barrier exist as an achievement for the character you earned it on.
And as I said, you always have the option to join higher keys. If you don’t have one in your LFG rn, either the dungeon you are looking for atm has no one listed or people have already gone to bed. It is already 10.30pm as of writing this comment. Some people go to bed early, some go to bed before 11pm. Not everyone stays up like me up to 5am atm.
but when you list a +10 key people actually sign up because it gives vault + bonus roll. so stronger players unintentionally boost the new players up which is a good thing.
In a game where rewards are performance driven, we really SHOULDN’T encourage boosting more than already.
Like I said before, I’ve encountered multiple people in +10s who don’t even know about core combat loop abilities such as their interrupts.
I really don’t need nor want to have to teach more players what an interrupt button is than already.
People should get to certain levels through their effort in playing correctly. Not because someone pulled them along because of being basically 2-3x as effective as them.
i didnt do a +2 because it was impossible. i waited until my friends got online and got boosted in a 10. the literal thing you have a problem with is the only way to play.
