[A/N-RP] Emerald Accord 🐲

She has watched the Nightmare engulf her Aspect, and her kin. She has watched the wisest of her flight turn to madness at the whims of whispers. She has watched as corruption took hold of even the mightiest of beasts. And now, the same corruption threatens the world once more.

Once, she would have taken this upon herself. But this time, she looks to the ancient allies of the Kaldorei to aid her…

Concept:

Founded after the blooming of Amirdrassil, the Emerald Accord is a collection of nature guardians under the guidance of the green dragon Saerira. The group dedicates itself to the protection of the Dream and Azeroth herself, and will fight against all who employ magics that threaten those two realms.

As a result, the Accord employs a creed that all Adherents within the guild must swear an oath to:

  • We swear to uphold the balance of Nature.
  • We swear to do no harm to the innocents of Nature.
  • We swear to banish corruption from Nature itself.

The tenets are intentionally ambiguous, allowing characters to interpret them differently. This encourages in-character conflict and discussion on the guild’s course. We reserve the right to decline any concepts that we feel do not fit within the Accord, however.

We are primarily a neutral guild with a focus on night elves and worgen, though in-character decisions may lead the Accord to align with a faction or allow other races.

Rank Hierarchy:

Within the Emerald Accord, membership is made up of the following ranks:

  • High Keeper - The High Keeper is the founder of the Emerald Accord and oversees the guild.
  • Keeper - Keepers lead the Emerald Accord in the group’s day-to-day activities, deciding who joins, leaves and which targets to pursue. Keepers are chosen from the current Heralds and voted for by the rest of the Emerald Accord.
  • Herald - Sworn to the Accord, Heralds spread the word of the Accord, and the creed put forward by the High Keeper, with the possibility of being chosen as Keeper. They serve as guides for the rest of the Accord, aiding the Neophytes in understanding the tenets of the Accord before their rise to Adherents. They are put forward by the current Keeper, to be approved or denied by the High Keeper.
  • Adherent - Followers of the Accord, Adherents have taken their oath, and they have learnt how to apply the Accord’s creed to their daily deeds. They are also given a boon upon them by either the High Keeper herself, or the chosen Keeper.
  • Neophyte - Newcomers to the Accord, they must learn the tenets of the Accord before they can advance further.
  • Wanderer - Characters who are not officially part of the Accord, but welcomed out-of-character in the guild.

Ranking System:

For the choice of Keeper, the Emerald Accord employs a system of democracy. A Keeper leads the Emerald Accord under the High Keeper’s guidance, and they are voted upon from a selection of Heralds that have proven themselves as worthy enough to hold the title of ‘Keeper’. This vote comes from across a council consisting of Heralds and Adherents of the Accord. The selection of Heralds is decided upon by the High Keeper herself.

The Keeper will then be chosen to lead the Emerald Accord until the next vote, and the cycle will repeat. The Keeper will have the choice to lead the Accord into whatever purpose they feel as long as it adheres to the Accord’s tenets that all have agreed upon. This, however, does not mean that the character voted upon as Keeper OOC assumes officer duties, and they are not forced to DM/recruit/do other officer things. As a whole, this is an absolute IC power over the Emerald Accord, second only to the High Keeper.

Before Neophytes can take their oaths to become Adherents, they are required to undergo a ritual concerning their character’s beliefs. This is character-specific: a Druid of the Claw faces a different trial than a Priestess of the Moon.

Recruitment:

We primarily accept Night Elf and Worgen druids, but other classes under those races are also allowed to join. We are open to other races but on a case-by-case basis.

Should you be interested, please get in touch with Saerira or Andreleth in-game or via in-game mail, or on Discord at: Iszy or Karbonkel.

Tomorrow’s our founding day! The Emerald Accord will have its formal launch as we welcome our first members in-character. After that, it’ll be a steady flow of roleplay - though we intend to start things casually with a few events per week.

Watch this space!

The Emerald Accord has official founded, and with it begins Andreleth of the Claw as its Keeper!

Starting Tuesday, the Emerald Accord will begin its first ever campaign, which leads them to Darkshore to investigate an ever concerning presence.

For now, the Emerald Accord can be found in Bel’ameth as they prepare.

An unnatural darkness has taken hold in Darkshore - and the Emerald Accord has set out to vanquish it! On the way, the group travels through the Dream for quick passage to Ashenvale - they almost lose themselves to the dream and find themselves stopped by a vigilant Keeper of the Grove. Under his guidance, the Accord makes it to the dream portal of Bough Shadow.

Upon returning to the waking world, the band encounters trouble in the heartlands of Ashenvale: they run into withered bears, battle a ghastly ogre and attempt to destroy a corruptive obelisk - but nothing is as it seems. The ogre has disappeared and the Accord has gone to lick its wounds. Whatever is next?

Following behind Andreleth here, the Emerald Accord came across more and more concerning things within Ashenvale – including a Naga witch who mindcontrolled some of the Emerald Accord to attack one another within the Zoram Strand. Putting her to end, Andreleth of the Claw looted a letter which claimed the Twilight’s Blade was trying to resummon Soggoth once more into the world, under the ogre leader known as Tho’ogg.

Invigorated to save Kalimdor and protect the Wilds, the Emerald Accord moved on and followed the letter to Master’s Glaive, where they found Tho’ogg as well as other Twilight Cultists working together within a circular ritual made of corruptive obelisks. With each obelisk destroyed, the group learnt that Tho’ogg became weakened – until he sacrificed his life to bring along the Shade of Soggoth. The Shade of Soggoth was difficult to kill, but with each obelisk smashed, the Shade weakened until he eventually disappeared from Azeroth once more.

Now the Emerald Accord rest at the Grove of the Ancients in Darkshore, until they are called to travel to Val’sharah for Byltan, where we’ll be celebrating spring with the rest of the community!
