Will for sure go back with new exp launch but definitely not before that

Curious thing is, comparing what people on the forum have to complain about retail for, single minded focus on content X, minimal socialising etcā¦ and then I see how people actually play classic, with cleave spam, exploits, abusing layers etc etcā¦ and then someone has the complete lack of insight to pretend āmostā classic players are something different, yeā¦ no.

Not to BFA.
Could had spent some time leveling some alts in cataclysm zones, those were fun (well couple are) but canāt do that on queue so likely just go back in next expansion.
And if I had no queue, why on earth I would go retail over classic. 120 feels so boring.

For me itās amazing that leveling is more fun in classic than max level in retail
Sure raiding in retail hc/mythic with a guild of friends is probably still the best and most entertaining out there but I simply find it to time consuming and boring to farm those ap and upgrades. I rather play classic all day long than returning to that island expedition

Now why would I do that? I hear retail is still a mess so Iāll stick to classic until they fix retail.

No. Classic is WoW the way I want it and the way I love it.
Played since Vanilla, lost interest after Cataclysm and when they took away old character models the game was of no interest for me anylonger.
Love see the old game and old chars back!
Well, I will eventually, if they do a complete leveling revamp.
Out of curiosity, I logged into retail and started leveling on my lvl 10 character without heirloom. In 10 minutes I leveled from 10 - 12, killed hogger in 5 sec, managed to kill 8 murlocs in Westfall at the same time and still have almost max health and I got 2 random quest upgrades from green to blue item.
And how did it feel? Not very good tbh. I like what they are doing lore wise in retail, but I cant stand that leveling experienceā¦ and I hate thatā¦

Not happening unless next xpac is really gamebreaking in style towards what WoW used to be.
I actually enjoy leveling, donāt really care about engame that much and Retail is exacly what I donāt care about. Played it only cuz there was no alternative for me, now there is. So, no.

I have spent around five years away from Retail and can confirm that I have no desire whatsoever to return to the Kung Fu Panda arcade game. Or Realm of My Little Pony. Or whatever expansion weāre on now.

Retail is like a dating website, which youāve been on again and again, nothings changed, same old faces and the only thing that is new is all the make up, which has been plastered on.

doubt it because as it shapes, 8.2.5 is already dead on arrival. What is there to do except the short faceroll raid for the mount? If LFR is ilvl 380 requirement, then I guess we just faceroll it with 440+ ilvls <.<

Iām finally having actual FUN with WoW again. I didnāt even get BfA and all expansions since Cata has been ā¦ unmemorable. And only reason I even remember Cata is because of the world revamp.

When I hit 60 and get the free 110 Iāve been thinking about what class to boost but as to when Iāll go maybe when a big patch hits and they remove the Rep grind on races.
to the topic, I dabbled a bit in classic, found the leveling way too boring and unfortunately I donāt have 40h a week where I can play classic, so not my cup of tea. Gameplay wise it is actually a little more fun than retail, because I love the talent trees which actually make me kind of addictive, no idea why though.
I didnāt really go back to retail either, because there is literally nothing to do at the moment. M+ really is so boring after 1 year of doing same dungeons over and over. pvp is dead and raiding is no fun at all.
So I am staring at my 440 gear and canāt even use it. There is no nice gear that you can WORK torwards toā¦ everything is just handed to you in the same way.
oh well, hope blizzcon has at least some nice announcements like revamp of all classes, going back to the roots. Or at least Diablo 4 with deleting everything they did in D3 or even a D2 remasteredā¦ one can hope but cannot expect much from blizz these days
