Anyone that is not satisfied with the current state of the game - unsubscribe

That is incredibly false. Many of these youtubers have since become spokespeople for communities such as the PvP community in general. Stoopzz is a very good example of this.

Yes, and the reason they stop is because the product is, as I said – not meeting their expectations or wants.

It’s just more of the same.

Redundancy causes more people to sit at home. If anything, they have more time to play yet they don’t. There’s a reason why they don’t.

Mostly incorrect because while Blizzard handles this incredibly poorly, companies such as Jagex with Oldschool Runescape do it much better and shows that actually listening to the playerbase brings results.

Whenever people seem really upset and frustrated with the game I tend to advice them to quit. If it’s not fun, then don’t play it. Spend your time on something that you do find enjoyable instead.
Even if you have a running subscription. If you’re not enjoying the time spent playing the game, then don’t spend time playing it.
And if you then eventually rediscover an interest for WoW and want to play the game again, then you can always come back.
Very straight-forward advice. Applies to other spare-time activities as well.

But using the threat of quitting as a means to add faux conviction to one’s complaints or arguments seems very weak to me.

Just quit. That’s conviction.

Any thread like this is always met with the usual Blizzard defenders, always at the ready to defend any and whatever decision Blizzard takes that is terrible, absolutely pointless to even try

My goal isn’t to make them change their mind. I’m sending this message to people who are making posts on the forums giving feedback hoping for changes. There won’t be changes unless drop in earnings will make someone above dev team intervene. Also the fact that defenders say that sub count isn’t good indicator to measure success of the company means that Blizzard is getting more money from 1 player means that they are leeching even more money from these defenders. It’s actually the agreement to pay more for the same or even worse thing. It’s mindblowing.

Lamest statement ever. I am critical about a lot of things we have in wow. But there are a lot of players just there for the story and enjoying some of the world. Not playing the game everyday. They unsub after a couple of months and come back with new tiers and stories.

I think you’re not getting it also. Paying for access to their servers give you absolutely no power at all. You’re playing their game. You have a right to not enjoy it and voice those concerns, but you hold no power.

And if you have to resort to calling someone a douche-bag because they have a different opinion, it just goes to show that you’ve spat your dummy out and aren’t happy you got the reaction you wanted. If you created a post on such quantifiable numbers, you should be able to quickly back up that statement and link it, shouldn’t you?

I’m not sure why you felt like I was targetting you in particular, I havent mentioned any names

Worst response to an argument I’ve ever seen.

I mean it’s absolutely stupid, there is no need to even respond to it technically

And yet, here you are? It does addle one’s mind, but low IQ is increasingly common now-a-days. Who am I to judge?

I think this is the problem TBH and I dont really see a solution (well, except spending way more money on game development which realistically isnt going to happen. All companies are going to protect their profit margin first and foremost!).
For instance say 20% of your player base is hardcore arena fans and you throw all your resources into that…well, you have now alienated the other 80%. Because this game has such a wide variety of activities that is going to be true of anything in game.

TBH I think they could do worse then reworking PVP content so you had a totally different spell and armor set that was unique to arenas, BG, etc only. You cant clump everything together and except it all to work fairly and properly…would be better to keep PVP completely seperate as a game within the game.

Lets put what you’re saying in a different situation shall we ?

I decide to go a steak restaurant, lets say I pay first for the sake of my example and not at the end of dinner, I order a steak, the steak is absolutely raw

I get told by the staff there that I only paid for to be served and not to have decent food or cooked food

Does that make sense ? No

Exactly the same situation

You pass your feedback along and you don’t go back and send no more money their way.

Paying for their food doesn’t give you power to decide how the restaurant runs things, does it? You simply just never return.

You buy mario kart. you play it and find out you dont like it. And the game ends up in a box on the attic :man_shrugging:

You post on a public forum, then cry when someone disagrees with you. Sad really.

This is so weird. I mean, not the topic. The topic is basically about someone suggesting, to make change occur for the good, only solid option is unsubscribing. We can agree or disagree with the statement or the idea behind it.

But why do we have people;
-Trying to convince others that they don’t hate the game
-Saying if you don’t like it, then unsubscribe (that’s what the OP is saying though, rofl)
-Saying alot of people enjoy the game (okay… why even make this statement? it had nothing to do with OP’s post)

You guys are so weird…

You’re missing the point, if I go to a restaurant, it’s to have quality food, not raw food

You cant just say “oh it’s ok because you didnt pay for quality food you just paid to be served food”

Refunds are there for a reason, thankfully

Why do we need someone to tell us that when we don’t like the game that we need to unsubscribe? It is weird indeed.

He’s not telling you, he’s telling people that are unhappy about the game.
