Asmongold is right RWF is ruining WoW - The thread strikes back

I think it’s ok for raids and M+ to be hard content, but it is idd a competitive environment.
What WoW lacks is content for casual players. Some sort of adventure mode, focused on community, cooperation, exploration and discovery.
Maybe it needs player housing, tied in to professions (and maybe adding new professions like carpenters, etc.), where we can go out in the world to scavenge materials and build our own house/castle (like Valheim) in a dedicated spot. Or maybe even our own instanced place we choose where ever in any of the WoW zones.
Maybe it needs a Subnautica mod, where we get to explore the oceans and build underwater structures/vehicles?
What it needs is something that players can pour their hearts into, a long labour of love, that doesn’t require an ilvl or player rating.
Not something competitive, but something creative.

No offense but didn’t N’zoth wreck pugs too despite being rediculously easy on normal?

exactly the OP`s point, one of the 19817819 reasons BFA is rated as one of the worst expansions

You honestly believe that BFA is rated badly because nzoth was hard on heroic? Are you out of your mind good sir? And WHY does that LAST boss of HEROIC need to be easy to kill?

Here is the problem though. Blizzard are super lazy and barely giving us any content in DF.

This means that content like M+ or raids have to be accessible or the game will die (Blizzard with their billionth DF sale after just 2 months goes to show how dire the situation is).

Oh, yeah, it did, and yet N´zoth still had a much higher clear rate than the current content. It shows just how much harder the game has gotten since BFA ended.

I have written extensively about corruptions in this thread, which allowed players to outgear something like N´zoth. Now, there is no such option with the broccoli gearing in Wow. I recommend you read it if you are interested!!

I am just quoting the numbers he shows, which are freely available to anyone. I mean you can go to WoW logs and see how pathetic the current numbers are if that makes you feel good.

Because heroic raiding guilds are the heart and soul of WoW. When heroic raiding becomes too hard these people have nothing to do in the game and quit. In general any time Blizzard has historically made the game harder, it has been losing subs (Cata / BFA / Shadowlands and now DF).

RAID % guilds got AOTC 4 weeks in
The Nighthold 27.91 %
Tomb of Sarg 21.81 %
Antorus THE SUCCESFUL RAID 36.73 %!!!
Uldir 18.34 %
BDA 20.88 %
Eternal Palace 28.38 %
Nyalotha 31.83 %
Castle Nathria 11.06 %
Sylv Raid 13.69 %
Shadowlands final fail raid 4 !!!%
vault of incarn 12.1 %

Look at these numbers. What raids do you think had high logs (and thus high participation), which ones do you think had low logs (and thus low participation). You can say go do lFr go do nOrMaL all you want. This is not what players do though. They just quit the game.

As a person who gets curve and is pretty much happy with raid progress for the season I do not want the last boss to fall over like a sack of potatoes. If I managed to get curve on Rasza with a really casual guild then so can anyone.

To the players who quit the game the moment they hit a bump all I have to say is bye. So you can take your statics and eat them.

Perhaps people would take you as less of a troll if you didn’t post from a classic alt.

Yep they did

Correct. All of the BFA raids and dungeons were awful

5 hours of wiping Opulence in LFR and normal, then 4 hours on mekkatorue

And then the Eternal Palace 4 hours of Ashvane in LFR and normal and then 4 hours wipe Queen Azshara in LFR and Normal

BFA really is one of the worst expansions xD, Ruined dungeons and all of the raids, butchered stories and ruined PvP xD

Gankers in regular BGs and forced anyone else to be PvEer only

OK, I’m curious now as I’ve not seen this admitted anywhere, would you care to point out where Blizzard admitted that they create raids around the RWF?

The last I heard was that RWF still wasn’t an officially, Blizz, sanctioned activity although they do now admit that it is a ‘thing’.

Lessons Learned: Sepulcher was an Arms Race that Won’t be Repeated in Dragonflight - Wowhead News

Of course Lesson not learned. Blizzard still tuning the raids after the SL difficulty which is way too high (although not as high as Sepulcher admittedly, but wooptidoo).

Thank you.

Upcoming Vault of Incarnates Nerfs - Heroic and Mythic Raszageth - Wowhead News

        • The tooltip for Fulminating Charge will still reference a root. This text will be updated at a later date.

Some big numbers nerfs to Heroic and Mythic. The borrowed power system next week should be a decent indirect nerf to both as well (could be a very big indirect nerf if the tuning is all crazy, and given it is Blizzard we are talking about…)

You have to ask though, why… so late?

This topic is absolutely true. After two years since the disappointment called Shadowlands, my friends returned to DF. After 3 months they are permanently gone. We played m+ together, but we only enjoyed the old dungeons, they were really great. The new ones were just too much. A lot of mechanics, a lot of complex situations from which there were sometimes no real escapes. RLP was hell, NO was a long bore, the academy was all about bugs and the pointless difficulty of tyracinal. I sampled raids through LFR and only sampled the final boss once because it was so insanely difficult. Friends are back to clasic and I’m not surprised.

I seriously don’t understand the beef almost everyone has with Asmon, he seems like a nice guy and his transmog comps are fun.

His opinions aboot gameplay and raiding are irrelevant since he ain’t participating in those. Non raiders should not have opinions aboot raiding, such as “Bis gear should be spread within the span of an expansion” ie “Yeah, let’s force people to run all over again hard raids to get a small chance at dropping a bis item”.

We should be listening to the millions of players who do not engage in raiding anymore, not the 20 000 who still raid at the highest difficulty.

I don’t want asmon to ruin MY raiding experience with his neckbeards opinions !

Ahahhhhahhhahha
Right…

I am not sure what you are trying to say.

WoW used to have 12 million subs.

Classic WoW which had boss fights with like 2 mechanics and DPS rotations with 1 button had millions of logs.

Vault has like 350 M clears after 3 months… for a expansion release raid.
