Just thought I’d share this. Sadly it’s in norwegian, but I am sure someone is willing or able to translate it somehow. I kind for the story to reach the developers of WoW too, even though I bet they already know how important it is to many of their players.
This is the story told from the parents of a kid stuck in a wheelchair from he was around 5 years old(?), where Azeroth became a very important part of their son’s life. Their son is now dead from the disorder that put him in a wheelchair. He got to be 25 years old, and played WoW for about 12 years. Some of his friends he made in Azeroth have also made some comments in this article;
I agree, and I think it’s awesome that this guy’s parents actually realized there’s more to gaming than the shallow view they once had.
I really hope this article will reach the WoW developers somhow. Sadly I don’t have time to translate it manually, but I am sure there is an easier way to do it.
