Yup, and there’s no way of faking being good, I used an addon that said I killed Deathwing in Cata so I could get an ez Deathwing carry and it worked.
But with no way to fake it and there even being evidence of someone being bad, people won’t want them in.

This dude sounds like a barely heroic raider with a level 9 M+ being their max, we don’t even need their armory for that.

People with a high rio join people with high rios, that’s not a carry.
You can’t get into groups due to your score, you’re the one who literally wants carries.
I understand why people THINK it is RIOs fault, when people judge them, but the same info is on armory too, and disabling RIO profile just means you get even less invites.
And for example even when I do not use RIO addon, and my actual score is probably ‘meh’, then I am not stressed over it. Because everyone could type in my name - just like we did here for the other poster, and still see their experience and gear in game.
RIO actually is a good option - if it shows you have tried several higher keys or have worked your self up from scratch - it adds so called market value for more open minded players.
RIO is bad only, when you believe that you have something to hide. I have ever done highest a 18 key, and lowest is 14 and that’s clear to any RIO user : “This is a weekly key runner and can handle their thing” And if they have some 22 key runner, that’s likely to be preferred over people like me, but also 20+ runners are moodier, when invited to 15+ run.
Via RIO you can improve probabilities for finding like minded player for your run.

All you need is one run per dungeon. And if you play rarely then you arent pushing high keys and going into MDI. Rio would say you are ok for average key but not ok for +20.
Your PvP MMR does that in game, your achievements dovthat for PvE. If you would go play HoTS or SC2 your MMR would prevent you from playing with top players, at least until you get good enough. Doing a +15 key isn’t something that every player is guaranteed just that there is no direct MMR lock preventing you from attempting. And if you have little time and you don’t care about competitive aspects of the game run them with guild or groups like Calm Keys. If go yolo into a +15 key you must perform or the run will fail and you wont perform if you didnt practiced by running lower keys. It’s that simple.
No, I have sat there for hours for days even on my days off from work with a key open to do and no response as I said I came into the game late, I have also tried joining lower keys the last one I joined was a +5 I got kicked out of the group being told my RIO score was too low and that I wasnt good enough for that key even though they have no idea of how I play.
This sort of attitude is shizzy and its the last time I ever tried to m+ but honestly you lot and your responses are just proving my point further and further.
Confirmation bias is not a healthy habbit.
But have you tried to join a community ? Horde has some very well praised dungeon running communities that even promote themselves to be score free. If you have any interest i am sure someone could link them here again.

I’m not asking to go into +20 keys I wanted to work my way up but pulling a group together coming into the game late is harder than these guys let on as no ones interested unless you’re carrying them.
I hitted 120 last week. Joined a +0 to get a key on 412 ilvl. Started my own temple +2 key, and runned the +5 with the same group afterwards. On below 420 ilvl. I heared nobody about RIO.
