Ban rio addon

This topic has been talked to death. Well, I’ll give my two cents since I started writing: people like you have always existed. And by people like you I mean people who feel entitled, are lazy, obnoxious, bad, and the type of players that I wouldn’t want my worst enemies to be grouped with. Always coming up with excuses for your own short comings: “Oh it’s this addon, this is why nobody plays with me!” “Oh, it’s this achievement, this is the reason nobody plays with me!”.

No, the reason people don’t want to play with you is because you put zero effort into anything and then complain and moan when you’re not rewarded like those who did put in the time and effort. You guys always seem to ignore this advice, but socializing with people/making your own groups is the best solution. If you want to play solo, you’re free to do that, but that means you’ll remain a solo player.

It never did.

I have detected subtle bragging in your posts so for personal entertainment I’ve declared that character you posted from never completed freehold over +10 which is true. Everything else is you talking about yourself, linking characters, mentioning past expansions and how awesome you are in general. No idea what illusions about losing/winning arguments you harbored in your egocentric mind

If you have no friends or guild, make your own group. All RIO is telling others about your previous runs. If you suck, then it will be shown to the person with the key you want to do.

Be very careful Rawie. I made the exact same suggestion and ruffled some very delicate feathers XDXD

:frowning: that’s sad.
@Lepanto did you know I can spam the heart button and it makes it seem like life is good and when I press it again, then life is not so good.

Also I don’t know how to quote people on this “NEW AND EXCITING” Forum…

yes because…

People try to play the game as normal, and spend hours either not getting accepted into groups, or having elitists leave the dungeon when they see it isn’t getting finished in time (thereby wasting everyone else’s time)…

After asking many times “why am I being declined” and before someone takes a moment to type, to tell them about raider-io. There frustration then gets directed towards this “mysterious” addon which evaded them.

By the time those who try and put in effort even learn of raider-io, they have already built up a strong sense of dislike for it.

Then if they express that frustration, they get hit with the array of insults which raider-io patriots and elitists have thrown at everyone in this thread who dared to speak against their beloved addon.

This is why, people wouldn’t mind so much if it were implemented as a part of the interface by Blizzard. Where it would then be their own lack of investigative button clicking which had caused the frustration.

You make a new character on a new account and get spammed with this in-game tutorial “press M”, “press this, click that”… but then it goes away and you have to find out everything else either from other players or from third party websites. - And lets face it, people don’t have the patience to sit there teaching another player how to play wow… Would it hurt Blizzard’s bank so much to hire a few more programmers and UI designers? I think not.

I think I read everything you wrote there. I just don’t think we should abandon the last part of MMO there is left.

If you have a key, you should have full control who you take on to do it. Same for those who can’t bother to raise their own keystone or have nobody.

This game is about the community. If you’re more of a solodude, then you do what you do, but don’t complain about those who are still expecting a player they WANT.

I raid, I make raid groups, I don’t do dungeons much. I said that already in this thread.

dungeon-io score is a fairly new part of this MMO, and if you think it is the last part then that is quite sad.

I am not trying to take anything away. It isn’t that people can’t be bothered. A minority perhaps cannot be bothered. Everyone else is held to an exhaustive scrutiny and classed as trash by default because of that. How is that representative of a “friendly community”?

Its unironically tragic how people are agreeing with something so self-righteous and arrogant to ban something which is “oppressing” a casual for being too casual and preventing them from getting free rides at the expense of other people’s keys. This thread really shouldn’t exist.

Well, this thread exists because Blizzard developed a hidden scoring system. As I said 3 posts up^ newer & returning players have a hard time finding out about this. So blame Blizzard.

I actually think it is more arrogant that elitist players think that newer and returning players should automatically know what raider-io is and how it works.

This is not a “friendly community” though. It’s about what you’ve done with whoever to get there. You have to go play Classic to get that lovely vibe.

This is about people who have a keystone that yields the best loot at the end of the week.

People will flock for that, especially if it’s an “easy key” like Freehold. You will be picking from 50+ DPS for example, who are you going to take? The guy with a +15 Freehold done, or some random dude they don’t know with no record at all.

I’d love to see people like you justifying the comments by making a Freehold+13 or something and just taking everyone. That would never happen, though as your argument couldn’t hold it.

You are right, it has become an elitist community. Dog eat dog. Tread over the little ones. (poor gnomes).

But you are wrong if you think that it should stay this way and that people should go to classic for anything else.

Take the run multiply it by 10 that’s the score you get for timing a key bang on time. That’s not very hidden or hard to calculate.

I mean I DO understand how frustrating it is to be rejected for runs, happens to all, but the idea that it’s an add-on, bad elitist players or whatever is to blame is TOO convenient.

Specially when you have the option of pushing your keys and learning the small details of your class/instance/affix combo.

Ok, I will dismiss anything you say based on line of text in the future as well.

no I actually read your whole post - that was my full reply to it.
sorry for not having more to say there.

I run a guild, I take in new and returning players. They get helped. I put up raid groups. Some fail, some succeed, but the players get helped. I take puggers into the groups. I give people fair chances. I burn my keys to help others to get loot. I don’t quit on dungeons even when the group is failing because of learning, because I want them to get the loot from the end.

I guess I am just not an elitist. I didn’t buy in to this attitude towards other players. It is a game.

I think you are correct. I’m also using the internet to approve it? Hmm… not sure…

The funny part is you seem to think I am an elitist and I don’t do anything you just said.

We carried people to for the Curve Azshara, much like Jaina and G’huun. I was there and am there helping these people in MY GUILD.

I don’t give a damn about you and what you do, you’re not in my guild.

to me, we are all just players in a game… in my guild or not I give everyone the same respect that they give.

Personally, I care very little what you think of me unless you say it to me straight.
