Ban rio addon

Look guy, I already told you to walk away and stop patrolling me, I already told you I find it rude how you chop up posts in the way which you do.

Do you want me to start dissecting your posts and giving paragraph answers to each of your sentences? No, I don’t think you do.

I am not going to respond to you any more and if you keep it up I will start flagging your posts as trolling.

You can’t report me for trolling because you don’t like my posts and you can’t tell me to walk away from a public discussion.

If you don’t want to respond, that’s your choice, I don’t really care.

Other people are trying to have conversations here, and all you are doing is quoting my posts and pretending to paraphrase them, whilst twisting words into something they didn’t start as.

You are not a very polite person. Interaction terminated.

No you’re not trying to have a conversation with anyone here unless they agree with your nonsense.

Not sure that would be an indicator for anything.
I can spam +10, +11s FHs but that somehow doesn’t automatically qualify me to do +10 KRs or Shrines…

Rio is not showing how good someone is. You get better by running more dungeons while you need rio for getting in those dungeons. Still it is not showing how good you perform as individual. But there is for a good reason the boost community exists to get some initial rio-scores to get invited.

Even when you read up more and more, practice your rotation, create a better UI, including WeakAura’s, etc etc, Rio is not showing that. You just have to run dungeons.

I agree. Fully. But at least it shows some kind of “objective” info? Sure…he might as well been /afk-dead at the start while the boost group cleared +15 in time. But its data, its info which I can see and “touch” personally. Without it. What do we have?
“Invite me! I am the BEST ROGUE IN THE WORLD! INV!!!”?

Only problem with that is that you dont just see score… you see whole profile… highest for each dungeon, number of raid kills, number of completed +10s in season…

You really think i cant read your boosted profile and not invite you?

RiO is here to stay and thanks god for it.

@Lynlia well it would help players then, if Blizzard come up with their own scoring system, since they are the ones who styled dungeons as E-Sports. Something which doesn’t depend on a third party addon and website.

So that it can be more clear to players -

1st, that they are now indulging in the competitive part of the game (not casual).

2nd, what they should expect to achieve at their own level (so that some players don’t try to lie their way into a boost).

We shouldn’t be trying to think of alternatives, there shouldn’t be any need for addon creators to think of alternatives. Blizzard should complete the work they started and stop expecting the developer community to pick up their work on this one.

No kind of measurement is ever good enough for some people, there will always be something to complain about because the ones who can’t put up with it wouldn’t get invited to groups anyway.

I responded on the ‘just git gud’-post

Yo… Blizzard provides the data, RIO just display it, DO YOU UNDERSTAND IT? I guess you don’t. :joy:

Well Blizzard hasn’t done anything about it yet. So players, addon developers(who are as just as ordinary players as you and me, only who have skills which I dont) have simply taken matters into their hands?

2nd. Ok. Lets presume. Blizzard creates his own m+ scoring board and r io fades into history.
So know…will you going to tell me that anti-r io guys who hated r.io for it being a “brick wall” for casuals but Blizzard’s scoring system which can also act like a wall will be adored by the anti rio people?

What difference does it make if I ask for “all dungeons cleared on +11 at least according to Blizzard score” or “r io 1.2k(All +11s gave around 1.1-1.2k right?)”
for my LFM +10 WM?

Blizzard creates its own score system and nothing will change. Only we wont have “r io is BADZ for game” threads but instead “Blizzard m+ scoring is BADZ for game” threads instead?

I am sorry but I am confused here then. People hate r io for the scoring system it provides but wants Blizzard to implant their own “scoring system”?

The difference would be that all players would understand, because it would be presented by the ones who make the game, in the default UI, in a clear way.

The most issues raised in this and other r io complaint threads. Are that some people think they cant get into +10 groups cause of bad score. The answer is always the same: Increase the score. Be it with friends, guilds, communities, own keys…boosts.

Will I suddenly get invited for example to a +20 with my measly r io score of 1.55k but with a Blizzard scoring board instead? People will still have to work for the score. The principles are the same. You either work for the score or find people who will boost it for you.
The addon can be might as well in Japanese for all I care…the principles will be the same. And people complaint about the principles, not the scoring mechanics…
