Imagine if you could change race in the barber shop, even faction.
I think this would balance out horde and alliance if both were more accessible, without having to pay real money.
Say you can change race once per day, it could be quite expensive to do. Like 2500g to change to opposite faction, and it’s only doable in Oribos. Then 1000g to stay within faction. That’s not expensive for some, but compared to other barbershop changes it is.
Anyway, I fully expect for this to go down like a lead balloon. I just think it would be cool.
Much better than the idea of merging factions. The day that happens is the day WoW dies imo.

Those goblin barbers are really becoming god-almighty…
“Whatcha want, fam?”
“1 horde please”
“Uuuh coming right up” snip snip

People already sort of do this converting gold to tokens, as much as I would enjoy being able to change race or faction at a barbershop it’d have to be some mighty amounts of gold to compare to the cost of it currently gold to tokens to do so.
It would be nice but I don’t see Acti-Blizz doing it, they’re getting more into selling shop stuff not less.
No, people would switch horde quicker.

You ever notice the buckets next to the chairs in the barbers? now you know what they’re full of…
Runs away now I’ve left that image in your head!

Potentially… but I think a lot of people would switch Alliance as well. Main issue would be with guilds. For me I’m not religiously in a guild so it wouldn’t matter, but for people that are, they wouldn’t switch.
I feel like if the only thing holding everyone back from going horde is 20 euros, the damage is already done.
Human walks into the Barber. “I’d like to become a Dwarf please.”.
“It’s a tricky procedure, good sir.” he replies firmly. “We’ll need to remove about half your brain.”
“That’s fine.” says the human, “I don’t half anyhow.”
Three hours later. “Wake up, we had a problem.” the barber said in a serious tone. “The scalpel slipped and we took over 90% of your brain.”
“Zug Zug”…

I go to barber to cut my hair, not my balls.

Yeaaah, but I did say in Oribos. Which isn’t run by goblins, and it looks like some sort of morphing machine xD
The factions should stay what they are.
However… Players should be able to play with whomever they want. So cross grouping should be a thing. Imo.

“Snip-snip!”
D:
“Oooh, I can’t wait to have my right eye blinded!”
“I can’t wait to have my left ear severed as well!”
Of course, because with your idea what’s left of the Alliance will simply go to the barber without having to pay real money. You’re killing off the remains of a half-dead faction by allowing a cheap faction change, leaving the Alliance as an empty husk of NPCs.
Meanwhile a proper faction merge would allow anyone to play as any race doing any content, and be backed up by the lore.
Maybe the hair on the balls? Ballsack haircut for Tauren cost the same as gnome haircut (about same size)

Blizzard would lose too much money , if you could change race in barber lol . Some people really like to change race sometimes and are ready to pay 20-30e ( idk the price lol ) , making it free would be stupid
That may be so but it costs a lot to move multiple characters. This would open the flood gates.
name change in barber shop
Not that I’m in favor of actually adding faction change to the barbershop but it would go both ways. If you could change faction that easily then by the mere existence of faction based hall of fame we would get a better faction balance (though possibly only momentarily).
Alliance not bleeding players faster because it costs money to change is about the worst possible situation you can be in so that really shouldn’t be the reason why it can’t happen.
the jailer’s real plan is to remake the universe without the horde and alliance in it … he wanted to surprise Sylvanas with this grand design but she betrayed him before he could reveal his master plan just like akama backstabbed the universe savior illidan
about as likely as us being to change race in the barber shop
