BattleNet redirects me to wowhead.com

Hello
Every time i click on a link or a picture or an item in BattleNet, the app opens a new browser window to a 3rd party website called wowhead.com.

For example, in the World of Warcraft game category, if i click Baa’lial Soulstone, i am redirected to http://www.wowhead.com/ptr/item=206018/baalial-soulstone .
Why?
Why am i not taken to the official website that talks about this item?
Why am i taken to a 3rd party non Blizzard website, unaffiliated with Blizzard , a website that it’s full of trackers ?

At least, in BattleNet app, when i hover on a link, show me what URL will I access. Let me know that i won’t be visiting an official world of warcraft website.

It’s safe, you can even login with your Battle net on that web-site.
it’s not owned by Blizzard, but that might be the reason the site is so good.
