Guys, how hilarious is this, so basically if you buy a boost ( lets say leveling boost or M+ boost ) and you trade the sellers in-game gold, and you talk with them in-game, if you get scammed, blizzard will just ban them but not return you the gold ?
Why is this ?
Literally this way its just safer to buy things edited by a moderator, literally, rather then deal with in-game gold, this just blows my mind. On edited by a moderator if you dont get honored for service, they instantly refund you.

P.S. I am only buying the gold from Tokens, and whenever i wanted some service i used that gold, and i literally didnt know i can be victim here by doing that, and people who are doing edited by a moderator are more protected then us who are operating via in-game shop and gold.
It has always been at your own risk when you engage in an unsupported activity. The onus is on you to find a reputable community with a complaints system (if necessary).
Blizzard will punish the perpetrator if guilty but you wont get your investment back, no.
On paper, in reality, half of people i know are RMTâing gold while im doing tokens ( which is more expensive ), 5 years later, no-one ever got banned. But thats another topic, im here to discuss why are victims not protected for losing the gold, when blizzard has all the proofs to return you the investment, if you get scammed.
Because you shouldnât buy boosts from palyers, when Blizzard offer it for MONEY!!!

It matters not for the Company, you got your gold by buying a Token, the only thing that metters you not bought a level boost but used gold and not their offered service
Some boosts are not sold by Blizzard store, M+ boost for example or raid boost. So in these scenarios you are literally screwed if someone decides not to honor the deal, you lost the investment no matter what.
I went the leveling boost part, because Blizzardâs interest is you to play the game not take a shortcut, spending less playtime online

Why would Blizzard honor âbad behaviorâ with a had pat?
Because you didnât read the tos when buying a boost .it is sole your responsibility when you buy the boost . Wow token sold by blizzard doesnot cover any transaction you do with third party .
Because of the âcounterscamâ possible to be played. You hate some players that offer boosts (maybe because theyâre competing with your boosting group), you play the role of the innocent player who tries to get a boost, you pay them, you refuse to accept the boost and cease all communications with them and then file a scamming report, and you get legitimate boosters banned.
Well technically they do sell a levelling boost with the store token. Even if it is only up to the current expansion it still counts as a levelling boost.
This whole selling of raid and m+ boosts was started by Mike Ybarra who ironically is no longer with the company. When they created this in game together with the service channel they also distanced themselves from the activity and made it pretty clear they would not get involved in any disputes aka scams. You can literally search these forums for the blue post.
Gold holds real money value because itâs sold in shop. In theory they should restore your gold because your gold has real money value depending on token price. But itâs easier not to give it. 1st they need to hire more staff to deal with scamming reports and restore gold. 2nd they would benefit more by not restoring your gold since you might buy another token. Which one is better for the company? Deleting your scammed gold ofcourse
