There are lot of neegative nannys, haters, young “kids”(in adult bodies)&the glass half empty crowd in these forums, but Blizzard: YOU DID A GREAT JOB!
It feels like playing MOP 2.0.
can gear alts fast asf
no world-ending evil
fun quests
choose your own adventure style of play
no borrowed power (except for tier-set which everybody loves)
it’s just wod 2.0 or 3.0 with nothing to do outside of raiding and mythic+ so it’s another meh expansion from the people who brought you warlords of boredor trying to sell you the same pile of dung in another package
are you on crack? How are tiers gated? you can gather them just like you could all expansions before, now in addition after few weeks you just get guaranteed options to ADDITIONALLY get ones.
In modern world if valor would be uncapped since beginning, no one without 415 ilvl would even get invited in +10 keys+, they simply CAN’T do that. 3/4 season like now is good time to do it uncapped( and they did it), but not since beginning
Not since MoP. Legion was also a great expansion. The expansion so far is good but not the same standard for me as MoP and Legion. The gearing for pvp is easier and they improved drastically on the alt friendliness but the story and zones are rather dull. It feels like it has minimal impact so far on anything in Azeroths excistence or the factions. The whole let’s be friends approach is…just lame. I’m fine with Horde/Alliance not killing each other constantly but this budyy buddy nonsense is a bit too much.
Shadowlands was a great expansion for m+
borrowed power ( after they let us have 2 legendarys) and CN and the last raid was ok!
DF everything sucks, exept for gearing, and raid. This is the first expansion i quit after 2 weeks. I dont understand how they can put 8 instances in the m+ pool and every singel one sucks!
DF biggest minus is the sad state of M+, especially mechanics bloat of trash mobs and current state of affixes, and pressure on healers to handle 80% of them while also pumping big dps and keeping group alive and still doing all the mechanics.
For me personally - my favourite time in wow was during last season of BFA and whole SL. I just really enjoyed corruptions and wacky stuff/builds we could do with it. As for SL - I really liked CN raid, and m+ was in a really good spot. Even covenants and their stories was nice to play through. Yes SL and BFA had its minuses, but I still enjoyed it.
just put any kind of borrowed power in the the game and mandatory WQ so people have a reason to leave sanctuaries and instanced zones and it’s easily best expansion, new talents are insane
I would not really associate it with WoD
In WoD there was so little fulfillment that only leveling alts could entertain me. In DF I am not at that point yet.
It helps that now I am also splitting my game time on multiple games like FF14, BF2042 and HGL
And with that, it’s already lightyears ahead of BfA and SL. Idk why people are so fixated on lot of content, when blizz already proven that they are unable to add new meaningful stuff to the game. They tried in BfA with islands and warfronts, and it was the most boring, abysmal piece of crap they ever made. I’d take a barebone xpansion like WoD and DF with good raids + dungeons and good class designs, over BfA or SL any day of the week.
And thank god there’s no mandatory grinds anymore. I already have a job, I don’t need another one in WoW. I raid two days with my guild, do a few +20 keys for vault, and it feels so good to be done, instead of always chasing some 0.1% player power over others.
It’s not on the level of Legion for me personally (maybe after the patches it will be).
But yes; I like what they did. I just wish there was a little bit more.
And wishing for more means it’s good.
As someone who doesn’t do dungeons/raids, I cannot agree with this. There’s always something to do, somewhere to go, something to find, something to work towards. I feel a bit overwhelmed by all I feel I should be doing compared with what I have time to do.
I’m loving DF. Not sure it’s on a level with MoP yet but hopefully it’ll get there.
PS I’m also getting better at dragonflying so my dragons don’t all have permanently squashed noses … snouts …?
One needs a middle ground. Unironically the last season of shadowlands had this middle grounds with the dinar. Limited amount of tokens you can get by doing the content that allow you to buy what you want, be it a trinket or a weapon.
how can you be a MVP if you cannot grasp the line between absolutely pointless meaningless activity and something at least worthwhile?
I’m not even talking about anything that affects player progression, those renown trees are BORING TO READ
currently there is nothing to do outside of instanced content, world is ded ded
I’m actually do a lot of flying, in prime time, on a full populated realm and world is as empty as it is beautiful
