Mop is end of classic. Believe (even if it will be controversial for some) that achievements and collectibles earned in Classic from the beginning to the current Classic expansion should automatically be available in Retail. The effort was already there, you had to play through each step yourself to get the item. One example: Anyone who worked hard to earn Atiesh in Classic should also receive it in Retail - as proof of their own achievement.
The same applies to mounts, pets, toys and transmogs, as well as content such as the upcoming challenge mode in MoP Classic, which will no longer be available later.
The Classic version is getting closer and closer to Retail, and in my opinion it should no longer make any difference from when the item was obtained.

If Classic achievements are merged into retail, this should have been announced from the launch of Classic so everyone who wanted them would have played Classic.

I think people are fed up with classic, I think there are too many versions right now, next year it would be best if we just had classic + and a retail version and that's it, too many versions like this are totally out, it's not fun anymore.
If it’s not fun, don’t play those versions. For those who have fun let them play.

yeah but you can´t just delete peoples characters either, mega lawsuit as classic was never a seasonal server. So they can only leave them on continuous prev expansions, leave them in mop or let em merge to retail and outside of Scarab Lord, nothing is really that impactfull and even that was pretty much harder to get than in actual retail, cause of how uninformed people were and how long people had back then, alongside the server transfer bugs.

Scarab Lord was much harder in OG vanilla. And Corrupted Ashbringer.

It wasn´t in fact it was much easier, the timeline to open the gate was far longer and there was not even close to the same amount of people farming it with cartels of 120people controlling the hives. You have no idea what you are talking about.

At this point, I’d rather transfer my characters to Retail than losing all their levels, achievements, mounts, transmogs, etc…

That’s why in retail only 1 player per server got Scarab Lord.
Why on earth would I want to play retail? It’s literally like those lvl 255 funservers you saw back in the day. Tons of custom races, custom specs, custom weapons, just weird and broken, and isn’t even WoW. They butchered our characters with the “new models” and removed the option for the old models so we’d be forced to look at them.
No, just make MOP era and stop this repetition with wiping progress and restarting the classic expansions all over again. Let us have classic era, TBC era, WOTLK era, Cataclysm era and MOP era. I’d like to have WOD era as well but that might be pushing it. Give us an option to play ANY expansion we want and be done with this nonsense.
Stop trying to force people to play that private server you all call “retail WoW”.

Na just go up to Legion and make it era, rather have one good xpac era server than 6 other xpacs with no pop on them.

You mean mop classic era? If so i’m all for that best expansion for pvp imo (no need to farm pvp or high end arena for pvp bis gear, and superb class design). Also pls blizz if you ever bring out Legion classic, keep OG SV as a 4th spec for hunters, as a hunter main since OG wotlk i have to say the class got completely butchered in Legion, it made me quit the game for years btw and i still haven’t played retail since.
So great PvP that it is completely dead and abandoned, getting the 2 bgs for the legendary questlines is an hour ish or more of waiting at this point. Also mop Arena is just 2v2 cause each ones 3rd is stuck in infinite cc.
Everything was hader in OG Vanilla/TBC because people back then played like they just discovered fire.
The fact that you are so cluesless to even say this out loud is just mind buggling tbh, either you are a troll or you simply have no idea about anything related to the game, there were thousands of Scarab lords and there more than thousands of bugged scarab lords in wrath and other incidents too.

Ive said it before and i say it again.
WoD IS a good expansion! Classes play like gods, story is solid, raids are solid, pvp is solid!
It was just a screwd up launch and a missing patch that screwd WoD over.
2 things can save WoD and make it a hugh win and ALOT of people will return from “same thing again TBC” and “repeat patch repeat patch Retail”.
1: Develop and add the missing patch + raid we all know should had been there before last Hellfire patch.
2: Delete Multistrike as a stat, its fun on paper, but if every class get it, its not fun. Its just to powerful and booring. Ruins so many other classes “niché”, for example Arms Warriors Mastery and Elemental Shamans mastery. So just delete it from the expansion and put other stats in its place.
And for the OP’s original post. They should just merge it with retail after we are caught up to retail (after BFA i would say, want to try out the BFA corruptions once more 
). Just merge it and let us get the achivs etc. why not? And then in the future start giving everything they earn in Classic versions to retail, asap. FOMO stuff was ok for it when it was 10years old… but now with so many versions of it and people ACTUALLY earning it ingame again… why not? Dont think anyone in Retails care anymore either, retail have so much stuff in it so no one knows whats what anymore anyways. It was cool back in the day to have tier 3 because that showed you got it back in Vanilla, but thoose times are waaaay behind us.

BFA classic would be great to see but that feel sonething what would be so far away that i dont start even quessing but If they feel that it would keep enough players subbed then sure they should do it. For WoD classic i just dont believe they would start add any cut content to it anymore. It comes verymuch like it was and then legion classic. But just quessing ofc
It’s weird how you call others clueless, while being that clueless yourself.
The only realms where you had more than 2 scarab lords were realms that opened very late in Classic and to which players transferred to for exactly that reason.
That’s not the same as it is now. Everything in Classic is known and optimized after 20 years of data. That’s a completely different game experience than it was 20 years ago. That’s why now everyone has rank 14 and with a lot less players a lot more have cleared AQ40 or even Naxx. Naxx clear was a huge thing back in real classic. Now it gets cleared in Hard Core.
Blizzard literally just stated that Mage Tower appearances and MoP Challenge Mode sets are considered “prestigious and historic accomplishments” that should remain exclusive to the players who earned them at the time. If they won’t even bring back Mage Tower skins which were available as recently as Legion : remix, what makes anyone think they’re going to allow Corrupted Ashbringer, Scarab Lord, Realm First titles, or other ultra-rare legacy items to suddenly flood into Retail?
Those rewards are on an entirely different tier of rarity and historical significance. Letting people re-obtain them through Classic and transfer them would completely undermine the whole “preserve historic prestige” stance Blizzard just publicly reinforced.
On top of that, Blizzard has kept Classic and Retail ecosystems strictly separated since 2019. No exclusive Classic rewards have ever been transferable to Retail. That’s not an accident, that’s intentional design.
A full merge with unrestricted transfers would contradict 20 years of reward philosophy overnight.
So yeah… if you think they’re going to suddenly abandon all that and let Scarab Lords and Corrupted Ashbringers start migrating into Retail keep dreaming
