Blizzard should slow the meta down similar to Wrath era, etc

Hey,

I love arena and have played it on and off a lot over the years but I can’t help but feel we are going in the opposite direction of how it should be played considering an aging population. The meta has evolved over the years to random 2 shotting and twitch-reactive damage and cooldown usage.

Like bro, I’m 35, let my nervous system have a rest rather than this frantic game pace we currently have. I’m not asking for 40 minute games back but we need somewhere in the middle where calculated macro gameplay is appreciated rather than hyper-reflex 18 year old game play.

I’ve also noticed it has reduced skill expression as many classes are capable of ungabunga random instagibs. Please, tone it down Blizzard, sincerely, an almost middle-aged man.

The game has too many passive procs.

And I was thinking that tbc was about the passive things. Was I wrong.

But Wrath is not slow at all? With the exception of 2v2 due to no dampening. The difference is you’re dying to an actual casted spells and meaningful globals instead of 50 thousand passives, modifiers and procs.

That is retail in nutshell and It’s not changing.

Except movement, and lack of cc abilities, it wasnt realy slower in wrath, it was much more about majority of people lack of knowledge, specially towards secondary stats.

Its not even about reflexes and fast pace meta. Its not about APM and that you need to react fast.
You just cant react to 1000 things happening same time in arena where every caster has 100% haste with 0.5 casts and random procs that can oneshot you. Its not designed for humans. This is garbage game design for adhd aliens. And in result every spec has endless amount of deff cds, passive absorbs and healings

Wotlk was also fast paced. You also needed to react fast. But the way you press buttons and deff cds mattered. You couldn’t randomly missclick one deff cd and just because you have 10 another you can survive. Im not talking about war/pala 2s tho. It’s another story

Actually nothing changes in midnight. They dumb down dmg buttons which never was an issue. If you cant press amount of buttons now I guess you need to practice with your keyboard by typing text in microsoft word

Specs still will have a lot of deff cds. Hero talents are not deleted. We still are going to have huge useless talents trees.
For example, changes for hunter. They’re still going to have 2 charges of wall, nerfed sac, feign death talent and turtle. No there should not be like that.
It should be like in mop where hunter had 2 deterrences and sac. Nothing more

Adhs aliens xD

Fast paced PvP is skill-less PvP.

They did. Midnight is slower than TWW at least on beta. Not only you deal damage slower but as a healer you top people slower. There aren’t situations when HP goes 20-100% all the time. To be fair with them killing most of the addons and zillion of procs to track I think it’s a right choice. You don’t even know how blind most of you will be. Unless Blizzard allows something like BigDebuffs just for Raid Frames to sort buffs and debuffs so you can track dispels and CDs properly and something for Nameplates to prioritize CDs better then it will be hillarious. Nameplates are probably the worst. To clarify I don’t need Plater. I need something like Nameplate Auras where I can make certain debuffs/buffs bigger same for Raid Frames. For now it’s a nightmare. Weak Auras - I don’t miss them.

Oh and OmniBar just for Interrupts is a must for me.
