I find it amusing how the code of conduct pinned thread is at the very bottom of the pinned threads instead of the top.
People seem to struggle regardless of the order the posts are in. Itâs like they become invisible when pinned.
For the code of conduct thread we can at least testify to it that blizzards enforcement of the rules is likely the worst in the industry.
Nah, pinned posts have become invisible because honestly I find most of the pinned posts spam and not something I care about.
âMIDNIGHT RELEASE REVEALEDâ Is the perfect example. I know, I have got 3 emails, 2 Discord pings from wowhead and its on the launcher. I sure as heck donât need it pinned in the forum.
As for the Level 3 requirementsâŚ
Looking back at them now I know I have hit all requirements but still never got it, again not that its a biggy ![]()
Obviously since the break the top 3 are no longer ones I meet.
But I want to test something, because apparently at Level 2 I can do this ?
OK edited out⌠But yeah we can now post links to youtube⌠That is new o.O
Yet if they donât share information on the forums they are lamblasted for it. People donât like having to rely on third party sites etc.
Youtube has been allowed as long as I can remember.
Then why not limit it to within its own section ? lol IDK I just tend to ignore the pins these days due to how spammy they are.
GD is the busiest of all the forums, it makes sense for news to be posted there.
In this instance I donât agree with you. They absolutely should be included. Most of them arenât pinned usually and just appear as items in the regular topics.
I donât really know what you deem a permitted number of pinned topics. Since they removed the preview of them they donât take up much space. Iâve often had to refer to a couple of the pinned topics myself, so they seem useful to me.
Which ones do you think need removing?
Tbf even ones that do can be bypassed with vpn allegedly
Posting a topic is fine, nothing wrong with that. Its the pinned side
Its me being asinine though I reckon.
Pinâs should be reserved for the upmost important things (Rules is an excellent example). When you have a block of 10 pins and the first are mundane things like âCheck out house furnishingsâ or âOh look we released routine hotfixesâ for me personally it causes âPinned post blindnessâ.
I get so used to pinned posts being useless bits of information my brain automatically ignores them because they have a high probability of being useless bits of info.
Again me simply being asinine though I guess.
Thatâs a parents responsibility, not a government or company.
Totally.
Although I would say that parenting these dayâs is whole other beast compared to parenting back in the 80âs and 90âs.
Yes, it definitely is and parents should understand that giving a kid a phone/tablet should be thought completely through.
But my parents had no idea what I was doing with that computer and how that Internet thing worked. My kids on the other hand know that I understand how phones, apps and browsers work.
Oh you sweet innocent summer child ![]()
