Blizztards make mages less dependent on momentum

Like literally, if I am using surge and main burn as arcane, and some random boss disrupts it it’s like 50% chance I will have 30% less dps overall in the fight.

What idiot balanced a class around this?

Yes, and other classes like hunt, rogue, dk, etc can die many times and their dps does not suffer as much as arcane mage dps if it dies during the burn window… Most classes don’t have the rampup dps thing. They just start pumping immediately, while arcane/fire mage needs time to build up its dps, which is a problem if mobs die too fast. Also, the tank decides the fate of the mage dps. Good pulls good dps, bad pulls bad dps.

Most casters do now a bit now tbh, especially the good ones. Pretty sure its a design choice.

I’m pretty sure this expansion is made for melee and discriminate casters and healers who die the most due to tons of movement, while everything explodes under your feet and you have to hard cast somehow…

Try ice flows. Its amazing for skb/clasm.

You do get if you usually go in higher than 15 keys and first bosses of HC raid, you never have enough of them?
