Suddently, an epic drop : Kroll Blade. First message in the chat from “Rogue” : “YEEESS”.
What did you do ?

You wait carefully to see what’s going on, and if somebody put a “Need”, you put a “Need” aswell because you want to sell it on auction house.

You pass, because you know “Rogue” can wear it now.

You instant need to sell it auction house. God it’s an epic, you want golds of course. Who care about each others ? If theses idiot pass or greed, it’s more chance for you to get golds.

You greed, because you want to sell it and greed button is appropriate for that.

You ask all people in the group to “Need” and you press “Need” because it’s valuable BoE on auction house for golds.
If rogue press need and everyone else greeds I’ll greed. If everyone press need I’ll do it too. If I’ll win the item and rogue is trustworthy I’ll trade that item to him and ask him to equip it.

None of the options you’ve listed.
I roll “Need” and tell everyone to do the same. If someone greeded and I won the item, I let them re-roll.
That’s the best way to go about valuable BoEs.

Tell everyone to roll need, but I wait a moment before I roll need if somebody wants to discuss it. If someone rolled greed while everyone else rolled need, I’d ask them to /roll and hope whoever won the item will be honourable enough to trade it.
I’d do as Ethly. Only Need if anybodye else but Rogue does, and then give to him, if I win.

Depends if I know the party members. If it’s some friends or some1 I like they can have it as I trust them. If it’s randoms I will probs tell every1 to need on it
If it’s a guild group then you let whoever needs it most take it.
If it’s a PUG then everyone presses need.
Everyone need because:
BoE 1 = gold
Gold = BoE 2

I need anyway. Afterwards, I discuss with the person which can use it if I win.
I have ZERO trust in random PUG members.
In a guild group, of course, pass for the user.
The question is pretty simple…
Imagine you’re in Strat UD with 4 other totally random people. The Baron mount drops. Will you need or greed ?
Same answer for any BOE. NEED, then discuss. If you greed with today’s MMO crowd, you’ll get abused.

Except the baron mount is BoP, so I’m not sure how it’s even relevant.

My usual response to expensive item drops is “/p Need or Greed?”
If a Rogue is rolling Need on Krol Blade and doesn’t already have it equipped, then they clearly need it. If you roll need against that as any other class then you’re a bit of a dick.

I need immediately, that’s just too much gold to “give” away.
If a krol blade drops and you expect people to more or less give you 300g by greeding on it, you’re a bit entitled.
