There is zero reason to keep it exclusive

  1. Wasnt a achievement of skill
  2. not lore issue like atiesh and kadgar
  3. Molten core and random demon are still killable for eyes trinkets for the quest
  4. You can bring back for other and former wielders a 2.0 HD remaster and keep the old one for 2005 priests for exemple
  5. Ishana, a draenei npc , hold the staff but draenei came after the Molten core timeline (vanilla) so this is not lore purpose its an aesthetic for this npc

  6. Sulfuras and Thunderfury still obtainable? But not our purple priest staff?
  7. Quel’Delar, the elvish blade, is lorewise purified by the horde and finally acquired by Lady Liadrin but the blade is still obtainable
    So why our staff isnt?

we will see but i agree with everything.

We might see it turn back in lore due to how the lore is in eastern kingdoms and lore of benediction will have a lore in the upcoming expansion Probably and blizzard always has a shade over stuff like this that if they will bring back stuff it will be if the expansion is in the area of the creation and I think with all the fan arts and stuff like Benediction/Anathema make a come back in lore I think since its light and a dark themed expansion and priest will pay a bigger role here.

also ask Chris metzen he will light a cigar and say hold my beer meanwhile make a lore chad story about it.

Midnight feels like the right expansion to bring it back as a HD model, so newer priest players can also get it.
