Really love the new talents, but with one build having 10+ more active abilities than another for the likes of rogue, monk, mage and especially shaman is a bit much. I wouldn’t ofc like to lose spells, but a bit of tidying up in the talents would be really nice. Here a few example you could make for mage:
Greater invisibility replaces invisibility.
Shorten the cool down a bit or lengthen it and give 2 charges to keep mage playing the exact same with one less key.
– Mass invisibility is a passive that gives ur party the invisibility when you use it
A nerf, perhaps, but again with a bit of tuning mage would function almost the same
Icy flows choice note with displacement instead of shimmer.
Having both icy flows and shimmer is ofc a huge buff, but placed correctly in the talent tree that could be a fine since you sac points to get there? and again it could be tuned around making icy flows share stacks with shimmer or something.
Mass poly and ring of frost choice note.
just to see them both get more use and because one or the other is often fine anyway. Granted I do think ring of frost would be picked 8/10 times.
I’m not saying these are great solutions to a serious problem, but I would love to see the devs think a bit more like this. Would make it a lot nicer to shift from pve to pvp as well if pvp talents too were included in this thinking.
Ye I get the needing of both invises, but the movement speed could just be in greater as well and it could have two charges or lower cd. they’re obviously not the same but similar enough and mage already has gotten tons of tools this exact.
I want to be good at my class so I’ll pick displacement when it’s good and have a reserved keybind for it. However, that isn’t very often, so putting it on a choise note with another spell could fill out the reserved keybinds in more scenarios.
Noone uses mass poly in pvp either
I would like to see some cool use for it, but ye, right now it feels like it has a bit too central of a position in the tree for how nishe it is.
Pretty sure it says greater invis on the talent’s tooltip what a mess. If you look at the incatation of swiftness talent on wowhead, its written like greater invis is supposed to replace invis but they forgot to do it for some reason.
Also frost and fire get a bigger speed boost than arcane which is a SL hangover to compensate for Arcane’s greater invis having a 2min cd instead of frost and fires normal invis’s 5min cd.
