Does the mercenary mode work for rated BGs?
In rated bg’s, your faction doesn’t matter. You’re simply facing another RBG team. It could be an alliance vs alliance match, or a horde vs horde match. If both teams are compromised of the same faction, the side you’ll start on is random. So if you ever play as a Horde and start on the Alliance side, you’re playing against other Horde.
The mercenary mode is thus not necessary. But you wouldn’t be able to form a RBG group with the opposite faction either.
