I’m trying to level my holy paladin and I heal high level tanks for 4-5% of their hp with each cast. This is obviously not enough to keep them alive unless they are doing gamer dad pulls. If my beacon is on the tank and I holy shock a dps the tank gets healed for 50% of their hp. Obviously the dps aren’t always missing hp so I am stuck trying to keep up with subpar hps output. It was much more preferable when everyone was downscaled to 30 and I didn’t have to work overtime to keep my group alive. This is especially important when I am higher level with bad gear due to dungeon drops.
Mana tombs is also completely bugged and the mobs will randomly shield slam other players, one shotting them.

Scaling is just really bad atm plus I miss having a TW set with old legendaries and such.
It was better way way before.

A bit off topic but how are you guys able to join any dungeon runs? I waited for 30 minutes or so without any invite. Is there anyone who are having this issue?
Blizzard hasn’t learned their lesson from MoP: Remix with its horrendous scaling. At least the fact that bronze was easy to farm for in large amounts kind of made up for it in order to upgrade your gear, but since we’re still in the first season of TWW with no catchup mechanics, you’re basically screwed if you’re under-geared at max level.
Why do you need catchup mechanics in the first season? You didnt get catchup gear when you hit 80 on your main did you?
Catchup gear is ment to bridge the gap between hitting 80 and the available gear of the current season. Since we are in season 1, there is no such gap yet, as season 1’s gear curve is designed to start at fresh 80. It really doesn’t take much effort to get a fresh alt rolling, gearing alts has never been easier or faster than it is right now, especially with the Anniversary event going on, BRD LFR doesn’t even have a ilvl requirement.

I prefer the old style timewalking tbf, kept old nostalgic items such as the warglaives relevant instead of rotting in void storage. Plus it doesnt feel great watching a level 11 monk 2 shotting most of the mobs. If that happened in the old scaling, it would prompt me to inspect them to oogle at their gear. Now its just like “yeah theyre probably just low level with wacky scaling”.
Timewalking used to be fun, easy but fun. Now its just another chore. I know there will be people that think the opposite and thats ok.
As for the catch up mechanics for tww, champion gear is literally thrown at you as soon as you hit max level between delves, crafted gear, timewalking, weekly boxes. Its insane. You dont need a catch up mechanic ontop of that even if it wasnt just season 1.

as a really high ilvl warlock and retri i literally obliterate everything with the new scaling system. On my lower ilvl alts tho and lower lvl these is so much pain. They really need to bring the old scaling system back
The new system is great for your overgeared main that doesn´t do timewalking anymore because he never needed the gear to begin with and all the old legos and HoA that made it fun don´t work anymore.
It absolutely sucks on your low 560-80 alts that could actually benefit from the gear, or (I assume) for players that don´t run anything higher than LFR or Heroic dungeons.
And it’s a complete roflstomp on your level 20 remix boosting alt.
End result? It’s basically still the same clownshow it used to be, but now it just takes much longer on an appropriately geared group, while still being trivial for everyone else. Just not AS trivial for the high end PvE-ers that only ever ran it because it was lol smash through like a horde of barbarians and then watch the firemage just incinerate Yalnu with 12,5k dps in 10 seconds with the fury barely scrathicn 500, because Tarecgosa +HoA +MoP cape +Mechagon bracers
