Weird “catch-up”, unless you can get them from somewhere else I’m not aware oh, feel free to help me out…

I’ve also had 2 drops off of other rifts after my first one. Drop’s low and unreliable though

You kidding, it’s not worth doing it for gear by any means!
I’m just doing time rifts for the mounts and Ragnaros shoulders, otherwise dust it as soon as you can.
Just do Zaralek Caverns / M+, and you’ll get geared in no time.
There shouldnt be any catch up at all. IT negates all effort people put in internet gearing all patch.

Just confirming this as well as I had the initial token and then had 2 further pieces of gear drop when doing the rifts

That’s not what elitists care about.
It’s about keeping any- and everyone down so those players can’t attain anything close to their ‘god like’ level.
Because elitists think the game is about them and them alone.

Because some 402 items completely negate all other peoples effort…
(not even sure who cares about someone elses gear in the first place)
If you are doing it just to gear up then its probably only worth doing once a week and then using ZC/WQs to get you started TBH.
Ive got quite a few gear drops so far…and 7 of them have been guns!
play and gear up slowly like eveyrone does.
instead hoping to jump straight into +20s because they want to

Don’t you know that by the elitists having their supreme gear and level, it makes them much more appealing and enviable to everybody fortunate enough to come into contact with them?
I know that when I see them, I just think “man, I wish I could be like that stallion!”

Yeah, the drip-feeding of gear has been dismal. The RNG items need some duplicate protection or something.
The Vendor is a big improvement though at least. I’ll fill out my slots eventually this patch. The pace of items is poor though.
The rifts can drop RNG items too though (I’ve not seen any but I’ve only done 6 rifts). So I basically ignore RNG as a method of gearing, it’s too slow and erratic and prone to disheartening dups.
As an open world player I’ll just gear up slowly one piece a week and this works I guess. I’ve pretty much given up caring about gear. I’ll be geared up to Veteran level by the time the next system comes out in 10.1.7 or 10.2 later in the year. Then I can not care about that system too.
I wonder what drip feeding you mean ? You can be 440 + in a week of intense m+ spam .
Or you mean no mythic RAID level gear for world content players ? Its ok 424 is plenty enough for clearing wq
Never said any such thing. I’d be happy with a full set of Veteran gear @ 424. This will take me months to achieve.
I’m still using 398 neck and cloak from Wrathion Rep.
If you read my post I specifically said drip feeding in world content. I don’t do M+, that gearing is probably fine. The game has been centred around M+ playstyle for some time time. In SL my Covenant gear upgraded to 190 was terrible in the Maw, I can only assume the Maw was tuned around M+ geared players.
I don’t need, nor want, to be geared in two weeks. Two months would be fine but the RNG drip feeding in weekly events is slow, erratic and prone to duplicates. At least these time rift events have a vendor for one item per week which improves the duplicate situation.
And that’s just about getting the items. getting the flightstones and crests in open world content isn’t great either but meh, I don’t have the items to upgrade so no point worrying to much about this just now.
And its ok. You have now some goals to avhieve in game thanks to this instead complaining rhatvtou have nothing to do . You can also spam like +8 and be 424 in a week with crests from there
If you refuse to do main endgame content liek raids and dungeons that’s your choice but you dont deserve that gear fast then
I dunno, im a world content player (although i do dabble in lfr sometimes) and im completely geared.
All i needed from 10.1.5 was 2 trinkets, and now that i have them im sat a nice comfortable 428
While i cant praise 10.1 on its content, i can praise the expansion as a whole for being very friendly with its gearing

You were probably luckier with the RNG than I was. I got a lot of belts for some reason, it liked giving me a new belt every time I opened a reward box.
