We just had a meeting and all crafters actually agree. We will just not pick up your order if its not worth the cost.

I doubt that… Severely. What your asking for is for the crafter to check them selves if your ‘‘tip’’ covers the cost because your too lazy to visit the AH your self…
Just buy them your self dude. If you want the item hard enough.
Unless your tip is bombastically visually worth it of course. Then make it rain
As a tailor I know what my cloths are worth and can easily decide if it is woth picking up an order.
I assume, maybe incorrectly, that other crafters have the same competence.

Yep at that point people just might as well craft the item and sell in on the ah to get an appropiate fee. Especially since people who leveled up their proffesions had to spent alot of time and or gold into being able to craft decent stuff due to the DF changes

The way you entered this thread with your ‘‘can’t i just tip it?’’ suggestion needed some clarification.
Also the context above too… No way did you enter this thread as another crafter… You sound like someone who doesn’t craft who wants crafters to pay others for crafting their items. Context matters.
Anyway we clarified it. Your a crafter and you say you tip your crafters worthwhile for not going to the Auction house your self All is good.

Nope your statement is subjective. It is a brilliant idea and most crafters would appreciate it if they make it mandatory for you to supply the materials and allow you to set the rank for the item you want.
You on the other hand can simply advocate, like the rest, to have the public order system linked to AH so it saves you the trip to go purchase the materials.

Crafting orders are literally a system to make things needlessly complicated.
Should have been an AH feature instead of separate.

I sometimes put Wo without mats when its smth that doesn’t have quality.And I have auctionator.So I know the mats cost and I add a nice tip on top to cover everything.I am too lazy to go to Ah and check for mats for a treatise.
I ve said it before.The whole system is bad,this idea is just a matter of crafter preference.
I don’t mind orders without mats as long as they are ok on gold(not that are any at all but just saying).
Scammers exist but you literally have checkboxes that let you know.Just ignore them.

This can go both ways - crafter is too lazy to know what gold cost cover his craft and dont have 2 seconds to check orders with mats and those without them.
Besides, it is not always profit crafter wants. Sometimes crafter is fishing for resource proc for valuable materials, sometimes it is just for skill/knowledge point.
Also Mettle - how to craft with crafters mettle if all mats needs to be supplied? Many crafters want to sell their mettle, some have tons of it
There are good reasons for orders without mats exist.
no it literally cant… There are checkmarks for this…
If a customer tips but doesn’t provide the mats… Then the crafter has to go to the auction house to check out the price them selves wether its worth it or not…
All that to craft an item for someone else. With the risk of actually paying for the craft for the costumer… Its just not fair buisness.
You as a customer are getting your item made for you for a proffession you didn’t level or put gold into leveling and getting good at.
If the customer straight up buys the materials and -then- tips for the works that crafter put into being able to craft that item. That creates value in the craft.
Your examples doesn’t even happen anymore unless the crafter can’t tell the difference between a green checkmark. A yellow one. Or a pure red one for none at all.

yes, that is easy way. There are buyers who for some reason just put gold and want you to buy mats and Im fine with that. No need to run to AH, auctionator shows cheapest craft cost, I rarely go to AH to check.

Yeah id be okey for this if your tip is fat and made of gold as mentioned above.
How hard is it to get your self to the AH and just do this your self?
Do this and you wont scam the crafter and your a fair player. Win win.
