So out of just fun i had chatgpt take up all the info of wow retails classes and rank top 4 dps.
Then compare them to warlocks 3 specs and tell me how much they are underperforming compared to the S-tier.
Then had it give me suggestions on how to bring up demonology up on par with S-tier as it was the lowest performing spec.
This is what it told me specificly about demonology.
Which is rather accurate if you ask me.
Haha I don’t Raid but in M+ Demo is definitely not weak/the weakest. Demo can do really good Aoe and ST Dmg. It just lacks some utility to be A+/S Tier.
I would agrue that demo does need some changes.
It does not have any on dempand burst aoe, like other classes. Instead they are forced into making setups to do aoe damage overtime and in small burst of implosion.
The only time you can do big burst is right after a pack, and that is if you saved your imps for it.
Its also a class that with no real interrupt. only stuns, which is critical and really bad in m+.
If the mobs is immune to cc, then they have an actual interrupt, but otherwise its just a straight up stun.
On top of that as someone who has been playing demo consistant, its one of the worst classes to do skips with. Because if you just have 1 imp left and do a skip, depending on that one imp you might pull extra packs because of the ai’s pathing.
Sometimes you have to even wait for the imps to run to you, because as soon you go into combat they will stand still and cast, and be able to pickup any mobs that path over them. (prioy on the stairs is a perfect example on how you are screwed over as demo, you have to walk over to were the new pack is and cant start ramping up over time as there is a pack there people tend to skip.)
I totally agree with you Demo Utility sucks (pls remove the stun from our kick) and Imps shouldnt be able to pull anything, thats just stupid.
Yes we dont have big burst Dmg but good consisten Aoe and very good St Dmg (if we dont have to move during Tyrant setup / pls let us cast Tyrant while moving).
