This is only a rough outline of the specialization, not taking into account the talents, Azerite traits or PvP talents. However I wished to make this greatly requested class fun and diverse to play. I don’t know how well of a job I’ve done as I just brainstormed it right now. I would like to hear your thoughts on the concept however. I do not claim it’s perfect but these are my initial thoughts on it.

I dooooon’t think a support class, which you clearly are trying to create here, really works in World of Warcraft with its three defined roles that are tank, healer, and dps. They’ll either be required in a group because of the strength of the stuff they provide or absolutely non-viable even for something as simple as a normal raid because they bring literally nothing to it.

Honestly, I intended this spec to fill the healer role, having a strong heal over time with “Molecular acceleration” and anti-burst with “Temporal Alteration”.

Also, I feel that classes should be balanced more around utility and that which makes them feel unique and therefore would and should not excel in All areas, a philosophy many classes could benefit from these days imo. Having solid class identity and each fulfilling a different role is better than having everyone be viable everywhere separated only by the damage or healing they can output.

Either way, I wanted this time mage Concept to feel unique while also keeping the mage class fantasy, providing certain things that no other class can (Such as… Mana drain or Psychic Acceleration). Would mages switch to this type of healer, I don’t know. It is unique however and the potential for busted combos is not to be underestimated.

So if you have 7k spell power you will reduce health roughly by 7700, bad design.

5 secs of channeling and i lose 35% mana as healer? sounds op

looks quite interesting.

ok, but you can still be stunned

another OP suggestion

Most of your ideas are nice, but on way lowered CD, make CDs *2 and it’s okay.

Thanks for the feedback and yes… I agree paradox and mana drain are likely OP, as far as those others go, this is as I said a rough idea of the class and tunings hardly final.
Also, Hex of aging stacks with the mounting sand passive, resulting in a quick burst of unhealable damage alongside it’s other effects. I meant the maximum health reduction to end with the effect I don’t know if I made that clear enough. Permanently reducing max HP would be busted and bad design, like this it’s just damage really.
Regardless, I have made some changes to the things you pointed out… except paradox, although making some changes on other spells would help balance it a tad.

Someone’s a after a job  I would love to a healer off spec (so much easier and quicker to get into groups). Utility is all well and good but it would have to enough heals to cover a m+ adventure.

Chrono mage has to be a healing spec, as Chromie already demonstrated.
