Class design is toxic that's why nobody plays pvp anymore

Rogues having Double Shadow Step, Evasion, Cloak Evasion, Double or virtually no CD Vanish, Kidney, Cheap, Gouge, Blind, Cheat Death, mortal Strike and solo kill potential is just toxic to face

Warrior having double charge, heroic leap, fear, stormbolt, shockwave, double bladestorm, improved mortal strike, 70% slows and high sustain is toxic to face

Death Knight having Double Grip, Range Kick, Doube death advance, range stun, range silence, pet stun, spammable multi target 70% slow is toxic to face

Mages having 2 blinks, blast wave, double nova, block, alter time, displacement, ring of frost, polymorph, solo kill potential and multiple invisibilities is toxic to face

I just feel like the more people realize that the reason wow is dying isn’t just solo shuffle, or the fact they are attempting to run 3-4 different versions of wow, it’s also the fact taht most classes are TOXIC to face. stressful. You play a hunter you can’t get away from DK or Warriors, you play a Warrior and you can’t catch a Mage ect ect…

It’s just wrong.

Prune every class where they are currently too powerful and you’ll see a healthier game

the same mongols who tell you to “just react bro. fast game is good bro”

are the same people who you watch them play arena, and he presses his major defensives, along with his healer giving him pain suppression, and his teammate ret gives him bop

because everyone losing their minds from the oneshott they randomly receive every few seconds

it just boggles my mind why MS effect iss till in the game, when people just die right and left without it

I honestly do not think Blizzard developers actually play pvp, the balance is ludicrous and unfortunately for us, they do not read the forums for feedback and if they did, would they care? I think not.

The current game team does not understand the emphasis of the game created by old developers who had in mind what each invidual class does: After Shadowlands they added more ticks to spells and more combos. Rapid Fire, Rampage, Arcane Missiles, Blade Storm, Double Chaos Bolt, Fire Mage instants, Monk Clones etc. There are just way too many spells hitting left and right that currently makes a huge mess in pvp and maybe in pve too. This situation also proves how outdated healing is in World of Warcraft as hot’s won’t keep up with the dot’s and spiky dmg outputs. The animations are fastened and they do not look good. Hunters having rapid fire is a combo straight stripped from MOBA games.

Yes !
Class design and balance is atrocious.
It seams that Blizzard is doubling down on this design.

This class design is a sword that cuts both ways.
People want to play something strong, with a lot of mobility and defensives, but they also get annoyed when they face the same abilities themselves. What makes some people quit, it incentives others to start playing.
The MMR deflation is the main reason why people don’t join. Being stuck in the 2000-2400 bracket is way more frustrating than being stuck above 2400.
Like with everything in life, you need to see some progress in order to continue an activity.

‘‘The MMR deflation is the main reason why people don’t join. Being stuck in the 2000-2400 bracket is way more frustrating than being stuck above 2400’’. Hey Fasole This is not it, this is not why people won’t que to arena or pvp or m+. There are heavy mathematical mistakes done by the game team. These special effects that comes from shots ( explosive shot ), spells , pets and abilities are causing massively more dmg than few expansions a go. As i said above the amount of dmg coming from these dmg sources are too much.

because not everybody plays like a target dummy and tanks all the dmg directed at them, this is, the so called, skill issue, which often happens in the MMR sewers

and when you get to play at good mmr or watch people play at good mmr, literally nothing dies without an MS effect for 10 minutes

people who claim MMR is the issue aren’t very bright as the vast majority of the pvp player base sit between 1400-1800 which is exactly the same now… inflation has just made it harder to push for those who “casually push”

the issue stems more from classes aren’t fun to face other classes

I have some ideas that might be good for PvP. Most of it is reducing mobility so we all can enjoy playing the game.

Warr: 1 charge
DK: 1 grip
Mage: delete blink
Lock: longer cd time for using port
Rogue: 1 shadowstep
Druid: not allowed to remove roots shapeshift
DH: mobility reduced
monk: 1 roll
shaman and paladin are OK
Hunter: still very squishy, need 2 disengages.
Extras: remove cheap shot ability. rogue still got tons of cc left.

No cause of solo shuffle and splitting players no one plays anymore

  • is a hunter player
  • wants to gut everybody elses mobilty

xD

Game is very tough for us hunters when everybody else has 2 charges of everything and hunter 1 charge disengage. How can this be fair?

It depends on how you look at it.

I personally agree MM hunter is absolutely trash against 2 melees chasing him down - can’t play.

But it makes 0 difference for Survival or Beast Mastery, damage happens anyway.

At the same time Hunters get free wins into Casters

If anything, gut Warrior’s zugzug potential, because its obnoxious how many CC negates that class has. DH and WW also pump big dmg, but if you press a CC on em, they stay in it.

x2 Bladestorms x2 Charges x2 Spell reflects x2 stuns an aoe fear like how the hell is anybody that isn’t a mage supposed to get away from this abomination

It’s true, after SL Blizzard added so many modifiers on top of old modifiers that you just don’t understand wtf is happens if you haven’t played for a long time. Time to Kill, as in shooters and solo shuffle, where the whole team changes each round does not help, but rather make whole situation worse.

Well apart from removing a blink from the mage, this is how it used to be. Warrior had 1 charge and 1 Intercept back in the day. The current game team needs to meet up next morning and think this in a sense: How duplication actually made game and choices a lot worse. It’s trial and error situation but as it has last few expansion already. Doubling abilities doesn’t make the game enjoyable by any means, it sincerely removed counter play.
