So i keep seeing online players asking for the Bounty event to return. Same as the latest Q&A
Well i would like to see it being more fair as this is a player choise for me i spend hours upon hours levling alts. Gearing them and sending them trough older expancions for loot. Like many other do. Infact we dont even touch the highest M+ for gear or raid we get minimum gear needed and gets to farming and do so for years and years. For me it took 8 years before Invincible was mine. Same with every mount from MOP world bosses. Now the players come and demand the buff that increase the drop rate so they dont have to possibly farm the same amount of years for mounts.. Making them less special.
Well i say that if we gonna devalue RNG drops and the time invested by players then give us old content farmers something aswell.. Make every seasonal mount from M+ and PVP from Legion and up a low droprate. (why from Legion? because thats when they began losing their value as players began mass buying carries)
This would make it fair aswell as give the players who have already gotten everything a reason to return to old raids and dungeons to get chanse at mounts they never attempted.. After all if the middle finger is gonna come up at the farmers and their effort made in the game then it might aswell be shown to the heavy workers who farmed seasons for a couple of monthâs aswell.. After all a couple of monthâs is nothing compared to the 8 years i invested in one mount..
So are people still for the bounty event to return or should it stay away?. Should everyone get their effort devalued or should just the farmers? (we all know the seasonal players gonna demand their mounts isnt being given away as low drop chanse during this event. Because being fair isnt something players want). But i m curious on how people gonna react to this post
You already benefit from devalued raid mounts that you can get without putting in the effort.
All CE mounts are mounts that only the people that clear the mythic raid during the gear can get. Instead of removing them like all the time limited rewards, blizzard has decided to devalue them by letting everyone just farm them after the expansion is done.
Itâs like getting a handout and after getting it, asking to stop giving others handouts.
You mean the thing you guys ask for with the event increasing the droprate making everything easier to get?. Again it takes years upon years for many to get a mount from a raid. Yet everyone wants them handed to them by getting this event. So why shouldnt the pay to win rewards be given as a chanse to drop during this event for those who gets their time and effort devalued as old content farmers?
Shouldnt be hard to answear without bringing raids up because i dont speak about raids i speak about M+ and pvp who wants the handouts but dont want to give their stuff away
Years and years of just going in with an alt, pressing W and one shotting the boss, repeating for every alt, and then taking a break until next week?
No, it should be raid that should be changed, so that raid mounts are removed by the end of the season if you want to preserve the effort people put in.
People should only be able to get those mounts if they actually manage to gear up, clear the raids during current content, and put in the effort. Not come in 6 years later and one shot everything and get the reward.
Prestige?. (Here beerwolf 1m gold that i bought now carry me. Hmm gee took 3 efforts to clear a M+20 i m gonna give a poor review of this boost yeahyeah). Everything after Legion where carries became a huge thing is pay to win.. so 40/60% of the players having the mounts bought them.. you can decide for yourself which ratio belongs to who. But this is why i say from Legion and up.
But this is the response i assumed would come.. Hurdur i play one character and takes that trough dungeons or pvp. And wont share my rewards with the rest. But i m gonna want the rewards from older dungeons.
Go level 20+ characters and oneshot the raids weekly to get stuff then if it is no effort at all.

Iâm all for it. Though I probably wonât have interest in it myself, because I got what I wanted out of it last time (Iâm not a collector. I just want stuff that I think is cool).
As for seasonal mounts; I donât care about them. Theyâre usually edgy and ugly to me.

Well ive had max ilvl every season for past years and its gona mean nothing in few weeks , so unfair when we compare that to players that just starting right ??
Just be glad they are doing somehing at least semi meaningfull with legacy content
The type of mount isnât really the issue. The problem (I say problem, but itâs actually a good thing for me because it kills my interest) is the ugly armor they give these mounts.
Blizzard donât do them very often because they want players to feel itâs still worthwhile farming the rest of the time.
However I do not understand why anyone dislikes these Collectorâs Bounty. Itâs all for old content. I donât care if someone has an easier time getting something that took me longer to collect. Itâs not like itâs challenging. We are literally talking about running through old content and mostly one shotting stuff.
I also really enjoy Remix, even though I usually have the bulk of the regular collectibles. I think itâs just nice others get to have them too. Especially those who havenât been playing as long as I have.
Yeah but oddly enough it isnt nice that we get handed seasonal mounts that people worked 1 month to get. But it is super nice that the same people who worked 1 month to get KSM gets handed low rng drops. Wouldnt WOW be so much better if everyone just got handed stuff that everyone spent time on working for eh?. Specialy now when a huge% isnt even working for it as they buy boost sit back relax and gets handed the goodies.
But nope people getting a heart attack if they add any seasonal mounts into the old content at the same drop chanse as the rest of the stuff
So guess it is only nice for those having time to hard grind seasonal content for 1-2 monthâs while the rest gets the middle finger yet again.
Blizzard arenât making the event a rare occurrence because they want to make players feel like farming outside the event is still worthwhile. If that was their goal, then they shouldnât do the event at all! Then it would be super worthwhile!
The reason why it happens rarely is because Blizzard wants it to be impactful, so it activates a lot of customers. Blizzard are all about customer activation strategy these days. Theyâre building a calendar where something new, exciting, and compelling happens all the time. You canât do the same thing too often, because then itâs not impactful. So theyâre basically spreading their slew of events out across the year, be it holidays events, Remix, Plunderstorm, Turbulent Timeways, whatever.
Itâs just modern marketing. Amazon has prime days twice a year. Why? They could do prime days fifty times a year. But they donât. Instead, they do a bunch of other localized or seasonal sales.
Same with Steam. Thereâs always a new sale coming to Steam in the not-too-distant future. But itâs never just a sale. Itâs always a different kind of sale. Tower defense sale. Winter sale. Summer sale. Simulation game sale. And so on.
Itâs the same that WoW does with its in-game events. Marketing strategy built into game design and development. Other Live Service games do it as well. It works.
Iâm not sure what boosting has to do with bountiful collecting buff.
Not that I believe people are buying a boost to the various M plus mounts on mass. Its only a small minority that can even afford it. However none of that applies in this case, its just about a buff that gives us increased drop rate.
Nothing at all realy. But considering they gonna just keep going with a buff that hands out items that i spent years upon getting. Then i want to see the event be worthwhile to me aswell (yes i have been running in and oneshotting everything in sight but it has been 8+ years of it on difrent mounts on 30+ difrent characters) and here they are just gonna hand out the items and giving the middle finger to me and my time investment within the game at the same time.
I want to see the middle finger be given to everyone else in Seasonal content aswell as getting rid of FOMO items from Legion and up where boosting became a thing (and if you believe it or not is up to you but most players easily get 50-100k gold a day so buying boost isnt hard and there isnt any lack of groups giving boost) and boosting spiked back in Legion and been growing since. SO why not add the items that many payid for back as a chanse drop during this event (if it where to come back)
It would improve the event and give reason to farm it. Aswell as the all year around farmers would feel less bad about spending the time farming. Or feel bad about the time spent farming. As Billy wanders into ICC on his fifth try and gets the mount during this event
The point of my sugestion is to soften the blow that i and many others feel as our special mounts and items gets handed out. Because everyoneâs special items gets handed out Be it Glad set. Mount. KSM mounts from Legion and up. that AND FOMO is gone cus there is always a chanse for seasonal stuff during this event. And we can get rid of reason to buy boost other then gear (which people get from delves these days anyways so taking the mounts away aswell as a reason to buy will surely plummet the sales)
I personally donât care if all the mounts Iâve earnt from M+ over the years are eventually put on things like the trading post, or a vendor etc. I had them while they were current, not that I consider any of the things I am capable of getting in the game that prestigious. I simply donât play at that level.
My very unpopular opinion: I donât think anything in a computer game should be unobtainable.
But also, if one does not want to do pvp or mythic+, then one should not be eligible for the rewards.
But while youâre raging about collectorâs bounty (something we have seen once so far) how about the one who got it on their first try? Does their effort diminish your sense of accomplishment when getting the horse? Yes? Then complain about those. No? Then why does it matter who got what when!?
