Come Dine With Me (WoW-RP)

I’ve wanted people to RP in my house since I first started making the place… but I’m not in a guild, I don’t really have many friends on the server, what choice do I really have? Well, there’s the forums.

But I don’t want to be selfish, other people will want to RP in their houses too.

Now, Dieven’s idea was like a come dine with me, someone hosts a meal in their house, then we do the next person… Except… cooking RP is a bit dull, in my opinion. Or I’m just really bad at it. What tends to wind up happening is I just wind up typing up a recipe from a cookbook and sounding like I know nothing about cooking. (Which…. would be accurate.)

But how about a social gathering? My house is unlocked, so anyone can enter. I just have to group invite people and they can access my house by right clicking on my portrait.
A social gathering is easy, people just show up and talk. Then the next night (Whenever the next event after it is) we do it at someone elses house.

So now the big question is when?
I’m free most of the time, I tend to be a little busy from 8PM-930PM server time. But aside from that, I’m free all day. And even that, with forewarning, I can clear up.

My house, ICly, is split into three areas, there’s an ironforge part, which isn’t really suitable for guests. There’s a Kul Tiras part, which is available for guests and there’s an Azuremyst Isle part, which is also suitable for guests.

There’s also a pandaria part, but I’m still working on that bit, depending on when, that part may also be available.

And a Silvermoon part, but it’s very WIP and won’t be ready any time soon. (I need a higher room budget)

I’d post pictures, but to use Imgur, I need to turn on my VPN, because the UK is stupid and I cannot do that right now. Sorry about that. I can post pictures on discord if anyone wants to add me there.

The Kul Tiran part is a tavern / inn. With two rooms (Occupied by my grumpy alcoholic kul tiran and elderly naive pandaren mage), a bar, a couch and a cozy fireplace. Ample food.
The Azuremyst part features a small house for a Draenei, and a decent sized garden with lot’s of stones, plants and flowers, with a tent featuring a Night Elf Hermit. Don’t worry, he’s friendly. There’s also a little shrine memorial to Teldrassil.

So what do you think? Is there anyone who’s interested? And when would be best for you?
I’m not looking to have a very large event. But both factions are welcome, (Providing you can have an IC reason to go to alliance territory.)

This gives the perfect excuse to show off my house, but also to finally get some social RP going.

Edit to add: I have multiple accounts, so I can invite people on horde, or alliance, without you having to Bnet add me, which might’ve made some people uncomfortable to do. I don’t bite or anything. (I’m Scottish, I don’t have enough teeth to do that) But some people still dislike adding people on Bnet, and that is totally okay!

Additional edit: The pandaren restaurant is nearly finished. 3 long tables, each with menus, candles, and 6 seats to a table.
There’s also a large bar with pandaren eagerly working to keep you fed. (Looks like I might have to do cooking RP afterall… if people choose this one.)

I chose my AD version of Carimyp to tour the house, she loves honey but the raptor plushies put her on edge.

There are other rooms, but these are the only ones that would be suitable for an event.

I like the multi-colored carpet.

And yeah, a lot of folks are likely having their RP campaign mode on atm. The Sunwell threat doesn’t lend well to a mood to sit around and have fun, with a doom clock on the horizon.

My guild’s no different. I’m doing my best to tell the stories I want to tell in quick succession, so we can reach the time the Sunwell situation is over, and we can RP withough doomsday clock again, hehe.

Two extra notes: Yeah, you need Trust Level 3 to be able to post links outside of a few trusted sites like Wowhead. The road to reach it is… very steep. They accidentally gave everyone that got the Shadowlands Alpha trust level 3, so you may have been among those that could post links and stuff for years, like I was. But they’ve recently done a forum update and it’s reset that.

Secondly, Imgur is blocked in the UK now, so people from there can’t access images you host there any more.

Aye, I’m in the UK too. a VPN works for that. But I might upload an unlisted youtube video for a tour of my house, that could let non VPN havers access it.
And a video tour is much more affective than a picture one.

I used to be MEGA active on the forums, before they updated them. Had thousands of posts… But sadly, I just don’t have the taste for it anymore. Being active on the forums means getting into lot’s of silly arguments about stuff I don’t care about enough to argue over. I get enough arguments from transphobes flooding my DMs.

As for the event, my house is permanently open. So if anyone wants to use my house, even without me being there. It’s available always. My hope is that it can be useful to people as like a setting for events. Maybe you have an event at a Marketplace (My latest creation) or a restaurant. Or a tavern, I have a few of those.
