Dead servers MEGATHREAD - Ghostlands/Dragonblights plea to Blizzard

It does answer most of this nonsense.

The concept of ‘realm firsts’ is something that I used to hear often, and very rarely do any more. People are always getting stuff done with their community because in many cases, it’s just too hard to find enough players to fill a raid roster locally.

Kick few players from dreanor and Silvermoon :grinning:

They could fix the merge-servers-name-conflict problem by introducing last names.

The truth is they will have to merge silly numbers to get decent populations, up to six or so at least in some cases. That will create an unholy mess of Legolaskilla-Dragonblight; Legolaskilla-Ghostlands; Legolaskilla-Thrall; Legolaskilla-Proudmoore… etc. You get the idea.

Just having to remember all the different servers with three can be a pain enough.

Another frustratingly likely aspect is Blizzard really might not want to combine servers wholesale. Imagine the news ‘Blizzard reducing servers’ and the inevitable ‘proof’ the game is dying.

In fact WoW has always had an idiotic number of servers.

Could you guys not make a community - just to tide you over until something is done? You could invite people xrealm that way too.

That won’t help with mythic raiding.

True, but better than nothing at all.

As some1 who also transfered off dragonblight server just a year ago now. They really need to fix this. Keeping an actual competetive roster going on a dead realm is 20x the work. And no1 in their right mind is willing to transfer to a dead realm to raid.

It’s sad that this issue, which is easily resolved it not addressed. It heavily impairs people’s enjoyment and it ultimately leads to people abandoning the game.

I did a fast ream check in the last +10?minutes. “about 05:10 to 05:20CET summertime”
Ghostlands/Dragonblight, ally vs horde. 16vs14 “including myself”
Then Draenor server. Horde… 1-119, was it 160 or 180 something?
120’s were too much to for the 50search limit. Some classes had 10, some 20’s. Hunters +50, Druids a bit less than 50. etc.
Draenor Alliance, had 28, including myself.

Then a quick check at home servers again. Horde was down to 12, ally was up to 20. Both of those including myself.

I’m living on a dying server with not enough guildies and sometimes even pugs to help, and solo content? zzZZZzzzZZZ

Even with active recruitment there is just not enough of us. I worry that even the addition of Queen Azshara and her cronies is too little too late for our World of Warcraft :sob:

FIX OUR SERVER! FIX OUR WORLD!

Players log in to World of Warcraft for FUN? for ESCAPISM? for COMMUNITY! Connecting those who may not be able to ‘go out and socialise’ for any reason. We need more people, OR I’ll take a FREE realm transfer OR I’ll have to quit and wait…

Your fees for realm transfer are ridiculous! It’s like you don’t want people transferring realms?! Then maybe make the realms as they should be!!! Full of life and fun and FRIENDS!

ok, i have been treated very badly by blizzard staff recently and due to this, i am on the cusp of quitting. i am waiting on their next reply to why i was given a 24 hour forum ban. i dont care about the ban, but i do care about the principles of it, which i think blizzard are in the wrong. if they blow me off again, then i am gone in 3 weeks~ when my sub runs out.

to this end, i ask that someone/ones keeps this thread alive so that the plight of dead servers in general, and Ghostlands/Dragonblight specifically is kept right up in their faces.

if i had my way, i would ask ye all to evaluate WHY you still play this game, but that is not my place to tell you what to do with your personal time. my anger towards blizzard ruining something i loved and that was a core part of my early adult life is palpable and comes down at the end to the way i react to how i am treated. and that will be to quit.

so yeah, Ghostlands forever!

There’s many dead servers that blizzard does nothing about. It’s infuriating.

I really hope they’ll reintroduce the FCM plan. Free Character Migrations used to be given when servers were too busy. They should do them now because realms are dying.

and so we shrink again.

www.wowprogress. com/pve/eu/connected-dragonblight

3rd tier of the patch and we’ve dropped from 28 guilds total in Crucible of Storms of which 6 were Horde to 18 guilds total of which 5 are horde doing The Eternal Palace.

Now, i know we’re still early into the life span of EP, but most guilds wanting to do any sort of progression in it would probably have started by now. i doubt many more will add to the list.

what more proof do you need blizzard? my insane suggestion of only a couple of guilds actually raiding is looking more sane all the time. at this rate, 8.3 might have less that 15 guilds total with only 3-4 Horde.

That is shameful.

Has there been any new news of changes to low pop servers?

Vintoleth, I so wish I could steal you over to my current guild and realm man. You are 100% correct on this matter and it’s bewildering why it’s not addressed at all.

Countless people have sounded off on this issue and it’s really a trivial matter to resolve. Why it’s not is, as ever, beyond me.

Ghostlands forever!

Same deal on eu-auchindoun.

No horde guild has cleared Uldir nor BoD in mythic. Only ~2 alliance guild have been able to do so. The 2 remaining horde guilds are struggling to recruit new people.

Why nothing is being done is beyond me. The time to act should have been 10 months ago. At least having the switch in place to quickly act.

Guilds will die out, people that enjoyed playing as a community will unsubscribe. When the next patch/expansion hits some may come back but find out that their community is no longer. You think they will say?

I’m 99% certain that the ratio of people paying for a one-time transfer to people quitting is 1:20.

Sub runs out in a few days, I’m not paying £400 to transfer all my characters AND lose access to most of my character names.

I’ll come back when you fix the realm nonsense bli$$.

I wish I had a better answer to people than ‘find a good community’…

I hear Scared of Dungeons is nice  But competition for raid spots is fierce. It would be better if guilds were x-realm…

I have in the region of 80 Characters on DB / Ghostlands, mostly on Horde. I don’t ever remember a time when DB wasn’t heavily Alliance dominated.

I have some empathy with the Raiders amongst the pop, this guild upped and went to Draenor at Christmas, i came back from a month out to find guild chat empty except for a couple of die hards. Before taking the break, we were trying to raid for first time as a group albeit very casually.

I was looking through my FL the other day, and it suddenly dawned on me most of my active friends are on Stormscale … pretty much sums up what it’s like to be in the minority faction on a low pop realm.

I seem to remember the connecting software for connecting new realms wasn’t compatible with the latest servers and they are updating it so it will work again.

I hope they get it fixed soon.
