I havent done any census for some months, but when i did it showed doomhammer/turalyon as alliance heavy realms.
I must say that Iām with the community on this one, cross realms kills any connection with people and i can see why blizzard would never understand this because rationally you can still make friends in the game anyway. The problem is I feel more like the kid that always move home to a new place, yeah the kid can make tons of friends everywhere, but does he really will get actual friends with his life like that? The answer is no, in this game i never see the same person in game twice even tho everyone is in boralus, farms the same WQ, travel to the same paths, you always are āāthe kid moving to a new homeāā.
I know!!! I read work from people (maybe it was yours) who mention itās an alliance heavy server (60% around that not sure) and 60% it was reasonably balanced to me who was looking to a slight alliance advantage server but not suffocating. But maybe because i play with warmode on in practice that not what it feels like. Horde camps in all major events spots and you could say āāOh maybe in that server they organize themselvesāā, well its not because in mechagon prime times (noone will organise themselves to do dailies they just go there and do it) surprise surprise its full of horde ratio 3 for 1 in that area easily. Mind you this is a 60% alliance server, my fellows allies Iām sorry if youāre an allie in 60% horde server, that must feel like 90%.
Itās not really Horde specifically that suffer, I have a highly played Alt on Alliance also and the guild community only shrivels at the community the players help create, itās not based on their character creation choice of Horde or Alliance, weāre all still people in our PJs playing World of Warcraft at 3am at the end of the day.
For the social - my guild do lots of little things to keep people interested in WoW, dungeons, fun runs, achievements, mounts, pets, transmog, in game events, we do prize raffles, and for more competitor players we do some higher end content like high rating arena or high M+ keys.
Itās only natural to get someone in the group who doesnāt want to do higher content, or the mediocre content, they just want to raid, but if they canāt raid because 2 people donāt show up then what are they paying a monthly subscription for? Disappointment?
Our guild chat a lot and we have IRL guild meets, but people move on from the game with time, and unfortunately when one guild dies it sends an alarm to the players of that guild to make a change, and often on small servers that change is to reoll on a different server or to quit because theyāre friends are goneā¦ And weāve had that a lot for our server. Itās not dead, we have progressive Mythic raid guilds, Arena, and push M+, but it used to be better when there were more playersā¦
Iāve never tried warmode, but they seem to struggle to balance their warmode shards. And warmode puts u into shards with others from others servers, and are supposed to be balanced with 50/50 a/h (or close to), but it seems like horde always meets big raids of alliance and alliance gets camped by horde raids. So thats down to not good enough balancing of warmode shards. Or something like that, iām no expert on this sharding and cross-realm tech
Far from useless and the gif id asking if any update cut out the poor insult and ive flagged you for offtopic.
Iām sorry you donāt understand gifs or that bumping a topic keeps it at the top and a current discussion.
I think itās hard to totally balance them, there are more Horde using the mode than Alliance and the WM bonus just doesnāt entice enough Alliance players to turn it on.
Leaving some shards with the Alliance feeling outnumbered.
Stormrage / Azuremyst is dead as hell. Horde-wise it almost doesnt exist. You log in, do a ā/whoā and thereās 48 people online, server is marked as āMediumā sometimesā¦ yeah right.
Every single day someone migrates off Stormrage/Azuremyst, soon there will be no players left.
Server connections should have been done a long time ago, instead Blizzard waits and let more and more servers die while making money on server transfer.
I fully agree with this. I was on a dead server recently until I had to transfer to a populated one. Itās a horrible feeling that itās pointless to try any multiplayer world content and you start to feel very disconnected with the rest of the game.
We need more server mergesā¦ Normal realms with normal realms, RP realms with RP realmsā¦ The world looks and feels empty if youāre not in AD ! That or remove the damn shardingā¦ It is not needed anymore on low pop and medium servers. Heck, even Defias et al. feels empty right now.
Scarshield has 310 active chars across both factions, 310!! xD Itās ofc merged with a few others but even then the pop only goes up to about 4.1 or 4.2k. That is what I would expect on a hyped up indie game or a very much dying game. I fly around looking for sometimes for hour(s), Nazjatar is 100% dead good luck with the war event or even commanders / summoning event. Merge more realms or remove sharding, this is getting kinda silly, the game might not be dead just yet but the world sure is.
Oh yeah and there are very few guilds if you are into mixing things like PvE, RP or similar, 2 guilds or so, across multiple realmsā¦ But honestly the number 4000 across multiple connected realms should say enough, that is a ridiculous number.
I had to transfer off AlāAkir to Draenor because AlāAkir is dead. Very bad experience from Blizzard. Should merge realms ASAP.
And of course theyāre now offering discounts on race changes and faction changes, but not server transfers, so no help there for anyone who wants to migrate off a dead realmā¦
I think they are hoping for some realms to totaly die out, then shut them down sooner or later, in a way it is easier to shut down realms than having to connect realms, is it good for bussines I am not sure of, but less realms do equal less expensses, but if they wanted to do that, they could just force people to transfer to an other realm instead for free offcourse then.
I just wonder how many people choose to give up and stop playing, rather than paying for a transfer, so whether it really makes more money to hold out and hope people pay to transfer?
Iām disappointed we still have no news
Yeah, they could do just that if they wanted to. Take 4 connected realms, transfer all characters to 1 of them and shut down the other realms. Been done tons of times with different games and even private servers.
Dude i remember skullcrasher was the busiest horde realm now its just a ghost town
8.2, top guild on our server reached 7/8M. 3 guilds stopped. Enter 8.3 only us left that is raiding with a full roster. What is this?
Besides recruiting being hell. The AH is empty and what is there is way to overpriced. I canāt sell my flasks, gems nor enchants, cause there is no demand and I canāt buy consumables I canāt craft like drums, scrolls cause there barely are some.
