Still no words on dead servers
I fully support this Thread
Draenor alliance is dead, the horde alliance ratio is something like 95:5. Itâs absurd that instead of offering solutions Blizzard expects us to fork out money for a realm change.
Last Blizzcon: Yes its a problem, Iâll talk with the team⌠we hear you.
crickets
Next Blizzcon they can say the same. Been going on for a few years now after all.
They were very slow to react the first time they did connections, this just seems to be a bad case of deja vu.
They wonât do anything. Itâs either pay for transfers or quit if you dont want to pay. They donât even play their own game, so they donât give a damn about some dead servers. Sad but true, they arenât capable of fixing this game anymore.
Since we have sharding , i kinda donât see any point of realms. Just merge everything except rp and different language realms and have lots of shard. It will make everything better. I can already see how fun ah can be with that and how easy it will be finding people to progress raids. With that we wonât have dead realm issues anymore.
For some fricking reason they always put me in a shard with a bunch of players from Italian server⌠every fricking time. Itâs like their sharding doesnât even work properly. Oh that and putting me with mostly alliance players for some reason.
Iâve been thinking the past year if they somehow did an error with the last connections for my server.
Edit: On the Italian server thing⌠seeing that many players I even wonder why the hell they force them to group up with English speaking servers. Their server looks healthier than a lot of the medium populated servers.

has blizzard responsed yet?
No and they never will.
They only respond to the cutesie and nostalgia threads. Too afraid of anything else these days.
Even on the social medias or Q&Aâs theyâll do their best to not bring this up.
I server transfered cause it doesnât seem like they will do anythingâŚ
3 months after Blizzcon and Ion must be having a very long chat because still no news 6 years after last connections and they were told back then they were not enough.
I am also hoping for an update on Ionâs promise in the near future. We currently have servers with functioning economies and thriving raiding scenes, and servers which do not. Only connecting the dead server clusters to the active ones will rectify this issueâŚthat or offering everyone a transfer to Tarren Mill which seems to be where we will all end up if this continues to be the status quo.
I am worried about HOW they will do the connections though. Will they connect the dead clusters to currently strong ones, or will they just try and pack as many dead clusters together as they can to achieve what they deem minimally viable populations? Taking the later course will just be kicking the can down the road, as inevitably people will drift to the biggest servers again and we will be right back here in two or three years. Fix the problem with the best solution please.
It ainât much better on servers that actually have people apparantlyâŚ
all hail cross-server hopping, the obviously needed feature with no cataclysmic side effects.
Yeah Sharding did not work out as intended
Yeah, Iâm also worried that theyâll take the latter approach. I had been hoping that the AH changes would be part of some secret plan to make the AH region-wide, thus opening up everything else to be region-wide (as if we were all on some mega-server) but that was probably just wishful thinkingâŚ
AlsoâŚ
Quoting just to say youâre looking very dapper Mr Rabies!
awwwww
Hateful Gladiatorâs Chain Armor ( pvp season 5) Together with the hat from the Worgen Heritage Armor.
Bli$$ wonât do a damn thing about it - sad truth.
Thereâs just too much money to be made from people paying for server transfers.
Even though Ion promised to start on a fix the VERY week after Blizzcon, thatâs more than 3 months ago and now we are also well into 8.3, still nothing. I wonât hold my breathâŚ
Cant make money if people stop playing their game because of this
Also they did say they would look into it at BlizzCon, sadly there was no follow up information.
