Thats not only dps specific, anything that is played by human can do something wrong or make bad priorities in error.
And if you have the option to choose why do you play with people that are as you described. Could be worse, could be soloq m+ and have no control over who play with and with what skillset, and then you end up trying to “wing it” each game and it becomes this yolo fiesta thats frankly just not worth the long que at all.
New players are offered a free boost, then at max level have zero clue. This game needs some new AI instances with some one-shot or near death mechanics people should complete all of before they can use the lfg for mythic+
Close. I would suggest that the AI instances need mechanics that don’t allow players to progress without executing them properly, but at the same time being non-lethal. Examples:
Enemy that has 999 Centillion hp and channels an interruptible ability. Only way to pass the test is to use an interrupt; no “I’ll just dps it down” like people do in Awaken the Machine. The damage of the enemy ability is 1 hp per second.
Enemy that has 999 Centillion hp and channels a non-interruptible ability that must be dealt with hard crowd control. The damage of the enemy ability is 1 hp per second.
Enemy that has 999 Centillion hp and randomly casts either a damage-AoE or a meteor-AoE (I don’t know what these are called nowadays, I mean this AoE that splits damage to everyone inside it, the mechanic where many players must gather up for it). The player must correctly either get away from the NPC or near them 20 times in a row to pass.
etc. for the basic abilities and interactions that players must learn.
Its true, I also think leveling is so fast and unchallenging that ppl dont learn their classes, and when ppl are able to also copy build from some top player and hop in end game content right away, some are there to learn their specs for the first time. Even as max level and high enough gear to enter cause its so easy to buy honor gear and press play, system might even put them on 2kmmr depending on current placement games
Imagine joining as healer expecting to do little healing, expecting the smallest pulls and expecting to be able to go afk rest of dungeon, while double and triple pulls are pretty much standard in high keys, the same in reverse when you are the healer but the tank keeps doing small pulls, just cut it out already.
or he sould check his pug better look rio score higher then you sould know wat to do i find lower rio players 1 lvl below key more hunger for in time key thos already compleet key
The duality of healer experience: Tank makes small pulls and the group uses interrupts and cc, healer goes afk on auto-follow while playing some other game on the 2nd monitor. Tank makes larger pulls or the group just tunnels dps, healer sets new world record on how fast a human heart can beat.
All the times I tried to DD I had done a ridiculously bad job… Either I die to everything… or I do tank damage. And tanking… even worse… I suck so bad at it…
But… I must say that at the end of the season with so much catch up gear it is fun to simply YOLO +2s and +5s …
I mean, you have yourself to blame for joining the Horde. And if you think is bad when they Zug Zug, then you are not ready for when they Dabu. Even worse if they scream Lok’tar Ogar.
