I dunno, making a tunnel that long and deep with Victorian-era technology, under a sea and mountains, seems pretty impressive in general. Elon Musk would be proud.
That being said, if the tram really does travel faster than sonic speeds, they really could have included some seats! And seatbelts. And why is it called a tram anyways?
I wouldnât say that the gnomes have Victorian era techology at all. Sure, some of it runs on steam but thatâs where the similarities end. Again, weâre talking about guys that build teleporters, cloaking devices, shrink rays, death rays, gravity-manipulating technology and domesticated robotic chickens.
Itâs impressive either way, though! They do have experience in building underground structures like Gnomeregan.
Danged thing should have them regardless of speed, but Gelbin mustâve personally vetoed it. A gnome should stand up on their own two feet, after all! Gnomes donât need help securing anything! Say, unrelated but when are we getting Gnomeregan back?
When I RPâed my tram conductor - whoâd sit on the tram and tell anecdotes about the tram amongst other things - I always envisioned it took about 30-45 minutes. It goes pretty fast after all. Also, seemingly crosses areas that arenât mapped between Stormwind and Ironforge, which is interesting!
