What wasn’t was when my character and his mount possessed the might of the gods and ripped through the Dawnbreaker or is so massively heavy that upon landing on a ship, he crashes through it and outside it.
Oh, and that one mob that you can somehow track to be at the edge of the instance map that has locked you in combat until it despawns or if your entire party leaves/concedes defeat.
Everything is possible. It’s kind of the same thing as the IT guy at my work place, if something doesn’t work for someone, I just have to walk there and watch them and it immediately works.
For the brief inventory:
First Boss refusing to move at all.
Falling through boats when landing
Teleporting under text of the boat when taking off
Mobs sliding off the ship the come back around 3 minutes later
Mob(s) deciding to have X-ray vision and chain cast through the Cathedral
Mobs Teleporting you to them if they don’t like where you are
Mobs refusing to reset when you take off, so that they perma following you until you land again
RNG roll for all five player dying at the end of the run
If you were allowed to do whatever with your mount, you would not be liable to mistakes. Such as ninja pulling mobs in a dungeon. Dont pull the mobs with your mount. Lesson learned.

Only if you land in weird places on the boat itself. Or dismount mid-air. Just land on the floor like you are supposed to. Then dismount.
Press space bar to lift off. Problem solved.
Dont tank stuff near the edge of the boat (if its P3 of the boat). Dont aggro the hostile mobs fighting the Arathi NPCs in P1 of the boat.

So? Mobs also have X-ray vision in a regular dungeon. Be careful and dont ninja pull. L2P tank.

This is the only one I have actually seen. But it’s inconsequential. Who cares if you die at the end when you time the dungeon.
Yes, it a bug. But not serious enough to agree with “Delete Dawnbreaker from the game”.
!! It’s a known bug that certain Pets and Guardians in melee of the boss cause her to stand still and not move. There are at least two threads about this on the forums.

I don’t know, but I haven’t seen a mob casting through 4 different walls before. Only here. Not even Tol Dagor had this, over there the floors were the problems.

I dont care how many threads there are. There are 100s of people whining over stupid things all the time. I have done Dawnbreaker like 100 times. And I never had an issue with that boss, or these bugs you describe. EVER.
Mainly because if you have issues with pets, this is what it means: 1 ranged healer and 1 ranged hunter. MINIMUM. So even if there was a bug, all you need to do is bait the death zones away from the boss (it will always target 2 ranged) and you dont even need to ever move the boss.
Baiting things is the basic L2P thing one should know about. It improves uptime of on the boss and keeps the area clear for the spinny cross mechanic.
So? Nokud is not Dawnbreaker. Plus I would argue that the fact that it did not work in Nokud IS a bug. Plus. Nokud was a place where you could not skip that many packs. Maybe 2 or 3. Nokud was not a whole city full of mobs.
Either way. You should get punished for ninja pulling things. If its not with a relentless mob that chases you to infinity, then atleast they should 1-shot you.
And you should not come here defending ninja-pulling stuff with your mount.
I repeat. Ive done Dawnbreaker 100s of times. Not ONCE did I have an issue.
What 4 different walls? Its all buildings. It cant be 4 walls. It can only be at most 1 wall.
What I mostly do is follow tanks that dont make those mistakes. And as long as I follow those gigachads everything goes smoothly and nothing is ninja pulled.
Yeah… I dont like to make mistakes and wipe either… but I learn from it and try to do better next time. Not come to the forums and whine about it.
I have seen the HR problem before, I will admit that. But instead of coming here to the forums and whine i find a way to work around that.
In S1 I did not talent Acid Rain. And I played Farseer, which could forgoe the use of HR for a whole dungeon with out a major loss in performance.
And this season with Farseer, you dont even talent HR. PLUS, if you play totemic HR dosent dissapear because it’s a totem, not a area of effect.
I mean… in S1 people managed to do it on +20… do you really think they would have managed to do it on a +20 if every time they try it out it bugs and they deplete the key? Like Nellja claims?
Dealing with Dawnbreaker is the same as dealing with any other dungeon. There is tech you can abuse, and there are things you need to know. Freehold for example there used to be some packs that had to be pulled with caution because you could pull stuff on a floor above or bellow. Or WM in DF, where some packs could be pulled through walls with Consecration.
And some dungeons you could use that to your advantage. Clipping extra packs and do fancy routes thanks to it.
You needed to know all that. Dawnbreaker is no exception.
List by Nellja pretty much sums it up. If you’ve never encountered any bugs, you are extremely lucky.
Yes pretty much all of this. Number 1 and 2 are the most common, and it can easily lead to a wipe. The most frustrating part is that the boss itself is pretty easy, but your rate of success is mostly determined by bug 1 and 2 not happening.
While I’m all for Blizzard trying some new things to spice up their dungeons, this buggy mess should never have made it to the live game. It didn’t work in the beta, it didn’t work at launch, and it should never have been brought back for season 3.
It’s not every time. But it’s often enough to be a huge problem. I’ve seen top key pushers on Twitch abandon their key because boss got stuck or someone glitched through the airship and fell to their death.
Sometimes you can manage to kill the first boss despite the bug. When it happened yesterday the boss was stuck inside collapsing night, and with 3 melee dps nobody could damage the boss. I came across another thread where someone figured out it’s most likely caused by pets. So even if you interrupt the boss, she will not move.
I’ve also fallen through the floor with charge-type abilities like Skull Bash and The Hunt.

However, you cant time those keys on a high level (with druids and dks) if you are falling through zeppelins, ninja pull packs and DCing constantly. Like some people here claim.
So they are doing something we are not.
In conclusion. Yes. You are correct. And all my worthless bla-bla-bla was simply underlying that its not that big of a deal.
Its not as horrible as some say it is. And that there are people doing something in DB that doesn’t trigger bugs every single run. As some claim.
My personal PoV is that having a dungeon with original mechanics outweighs the disadvantage of having druids cast a worthless efflorescence.
I’m genuinely impressed you’ve literally never ran into that issue before lol. It does not matter if I land perfectly on the ship deck, I sometimes will literally just phase through it as if the ship isn’t there. Have to glitch back out of the ship (because I’ll be flying inside of it) and try again, sometimes takes multiple tries before it registers and I can land.
Only thing I found that seems to fix it is switching flying style to old school flying.
Another pretty common issue that I’m surprised you’ve not run into since thunderstorm can cause it is on pull 2 if you use any displacement stops (e.g. thunderstorm knockup) the mobs sometimes just fly off the ship.
Dawnbreaker is of course a crazy bugged game. Like what is mentioned ground effects flying of the ship. Good luck healing on mistweaver without you jadefire stomp.

Had someone dc when they flew into the ship on the last part of the dungeon. The dark orb also still says its targetting the tank introducing another potential failure point. Shadow shroud also stays on people when the boss is dead, doing its rp. Its just an awful dungeon.
