Delete Dawnbreaker from the game

Well senpai, tell my mistweaver to not play mistweaver so i do not have jadefire stomp that is not shown on the ship.
Or tell me exactly how to not fly through a ship. I even use normal flying, so no crazy speedbonus from dragonriding.
We can think about what you do, but for now you havent given any rule of how to never fly through a ship, for example.
How can you prevent the last boss not show circles around players who have to drop those webs further away?

We can go and double check what I say bellow on a follower dungeon. I am 99% sure. But if I am proven wrong, then I just got lucky in my DB runs and I will publicly eat my own words.

  • AoE zones dissapearing. HR, Stomp, and others weird things like adds flying away with knock ups.

They happen on the big ship. But if you notice, the big ship is not in the same position all the time. It has TWO positions: On the ground (when you begin) and flying over the city.

Healing Rain works with the 1st boss. No problem. It works with the last boss. No problem. It works in the small boats with the spiders, no problem.

It also works at the very beginning, when the ship is still in the ground.

WHEN dosent it work? In the 10s between the 2 states. Ground and air. It just happens to be that in 100% of the runs, you take a double pack with BL there.

What do I do: I place HR first thing when I step on to the boat. That way its “locked” into the boat. And I wait 10s until the boat is flying again to cast it once more.

What should a MW do? Same with Stomp. Just run next to the tank, pre-stomp right away and use the beefiest CD you got (that isent JF stomp) for the 1st big damage. For the 2nd time it happens you will be in the air and everything normal.

The way to not fly through a ship is to not fly through a ship. I know it’s a redundant answer… but if you simply land normally on the ship… as in: You intersect the surface of the boat at an angle. Not straight up, not from bellow, not head on. At an angle. Like in the OW you have ZERO issues.

And dont crash with other parts of the boat. Just fly correctly and dont crash.

If you fly with a slow mount, that adds more complications. Because the boat is faster than the mount. The best thing to do is to simply B-Line as fast as possible, aim correctly at the deck (not a rope, or the hull, or the balloon…) and land properly.

What many people also do is dismount before they have touched the ground. As in, when the mount is still in its “flying animation”. That also causes problems. So land. Properly. Dismount. Problem solved.

This works perfectly well. I have NEVER witnessed this.

And I am very, very doubtful because I have heard many times people saying “it bugged out” when in reality they just did not see it with so much visual clutter (grey circle surrounded by grey spiderwebs and rets/monks doing all kinds of disco shows all over the place)… ect…

It’s still a problem. I am the #1 whiner when it comes to blizzard’s bad habit of making everything the same color… but still…

But back to the discussion. How can you be 100% sure you got the AoE zone. Weather you see it or you dont…

DBM, WA, ect… those blink when something happens. If you got a mechanic to do, you will now it. Pay attention to the DBM sounds and you dont even need to see if you got the AoE or not. Just focus on something else, like not steping on the grey webs on the floor.

Works on many other things you cannot properly see. Like important casts targeted at you in huge 30 mob packs where even the coolest Plater UI cant put order into the chaos that is going on there. DBM and “targeted spells” make a sound when that happens. So you know when to pop a CD or do something special with out having to see it.

Jadefire stomp does not work/show on the additional 2 boats.

Exactly what i am doing. I am already using normal flying to land perfectly on the boat. Not trying to collide with it in any way.

Untill it does not work. Good for you it never happened to you.
Addon workarounds are workarounds. That does not mean the bug isn’t there.

I never said the bugs don’t exist. All I said is that there is tech people can use to work around them.

I mean… what is the ultimate goal here? To time the key right? And if bugs force you to do “hulahoops” to do so… then do them. Is it annoying? Yes. But at-least be annoyed with out depleting keys.

Plus. DBM and WA is not a “workarround”. You should have it installed by default for ALL mechanics. Its not just that 1 buggy mechanic. They are used for the 1000s of other non buggy mechanics.

It is already an improvement. We have seen stomp flying of the ship before.

That is a video from Sep 2024…

I noticed 2 things: (A) he is using a really big mount with a really big hitbox. (B) He is flying slower than the boat itself.

Use a smaller mount. I use the Wyvern as a flying mount, which has a tiny hit box and dosent clip with the ropes around the boat. And I fly much faster than him.

As for JFS: Then download the stupid WA. Like I said. Jump through the hoops if you need to. Or do you prefer to simply deplete again and again the same key?

What we are doing is indeed install tape on another tape on the next tape to make the game playable. That isn’t a good situation. Yes, we are those M+ fanatics who readup a lot and fix stuff for ourselves to try to make the game playable. That doesn’t mean the current state of this dungeon is actually acceptable.

You stated you never see bugs, and that we have to play like you so we never see bugs. In the meantime we have to bandaid the dungeon with WA’s to make it playable. And there are bugs for certain specs anyway. No denying there.

Blizzard wont fix the bug tomorrow. But even if they did fix it tomorrow, you still want to play DB today dont you? What’s your alternative? Simply not play DB ever again instead of taking 5 seconds of your time to download a crummy WA?

If I played MW monk, I would certainly put JFS buff on Cell to track that buff on people. Just like I track all other buffs on my shaman.

I would have something put in place anyways. Not for that boat, but for all other packs in all the dungeons in the season.

Addons are not “tapes”. They genuinely improve your performance. That is why blizzard is on this “arms race” with them… But it’s the topic of another discussion.

But hey. Look. Lets do a follower dungeon right now and test this stuff out…

Using addons to see you have a circle around you that isn’t shown, is defeinitely a tape. Or a WA telling you stand on your stomp while your stomp is shown miles away is definitely also a tape. You should not need WA’s for those things.

And it is like you said. That video is like a year old. And STILL it isn’t fixed.

You need addons to REACT to circles. Not to see them. The whole point of DBM is to react to mechanics with out having stop, look at the ground, move, and then look at something else.

You don’t technically need them. But if you use them, your performance is increased ten fold.

For example: I am focused on the Party Frames for the HP of people. If I dont need to look at the ground to dodge swirlies, my healing performance increases.

If I stop, look at the ground, look at where I have to move, then move… 3 people are dead by the time im done.

Do you disagree with this? Probably. But it has nothing to do with DB being buggy. Its the way wow is made. But its a different topic of discussion.

These are just the bugs I encountered since S3, not counting S1 as it’s not relevant any more:

  • 2 days ago I got hit by the beam at the first boss despite being in the middle between 2 beams (not even close to the boss)
  • I’ve had 1 of the 2 ships not show up, it was stuck to the wall on the other side of the dungeon and all my party members were shown as being there. I couldn’t reach them
  • My tank teleported through the ship after mounting up just after rezzing at the “start”, and fell through
  • After the dungeon completes often need to do a reload because your character facing direction is offset when holding right mouse button
  • Orb affix spawning in unreachable spots
  • Stuck in combat with trash from the start or boat and cleave abilities such as havoc (through mayham) going on them for no reason
  • People dying to the darkness on the last boss fight when flying to the second location, despite standing in the light where you should have the permanent safe buff
  • Infernal not wanting to drop in some locations on the boat
  • At the miniboss under the bridge close to the second boss somehow managed to pull trash through the wall Tol Dagor style

OK. I just re-did the follower dungeon. And tried to replicate these bugs. If you dont believe me, log in to discord and I will share my screen with you. You can see my PoV with your own eyes.

  • Flying through the small Zeppelins (like in the video).

I managed to replicate this bug by doing the following: Right after the 2nd pack with BL in the big boat. You get the “you can fly now buff”. At that time, the small zeppelins are appearing.

If you do not land exactly on the flat deck (aka, the stairs behind it, or the hit-box of your mount touches those things)… you will clip through the Zeppelin.

This ONLY happens at that 1st small boat. All others I spent a good 20 minutes and 5 resets banging my head against zepelins to try to go through them.

SOLUTION: 1st boat use a small mount. And make sure to land on the deck. Nowhere else.

  • The Healing Rain not showing up:

I have spent those 5 resets putting Healing rain on CD. On the deck, on stairs or other weird places (such as half of the HR sticking out over the edge). On every ship, at every moment (grounded, flying, transitioning). Not ONCE did it disappear. The animation or the buff.

I was under the impression that JFS bugs the same as with HR. Maybe JFS is special.

But healing Rain? I cannot make it disapear.

Yeah yeah… heard this before…

Did you know that the beam cast does massive AoE damage at the start? You dont need to be hit by anything. But if you are not at 100% you will die.

And you did it on 14+. I have healed that boss on +14. The damage it does is not small… to say the least.

This is not a bug. Its a mechanic. Pop a health pot if you see you don’t have enough HP to survive this.

See that bold part? That is what kills you. If you look at Details you will see that “Obsidian Beam” killed you. But its not the beam itself (that leaves a debuf). It’s the instant damage.

The miniboss did not pull trash. YOU did (or someone in your party). With some ability. And DB is not the only place this happens. Its a thing about WoW Spagetti code that cant deal with the Z dimension. It’s a problem that has been known since MC.

YES it’s a bug. YES it’s annoying. You should not be capable of pulling stuff through walls… But the solution to that problem has always been to drag the packs outside of the “danger zone”. Or simply to be careful. Since 2004 basically.

All the bugs are in Ara ( but literally, they are bugs! :slight_smile: ) !

On topic, I have not encountered them yet, maybe they are there, overall not the most fun dungeon of TWW, but I don’t hate it either.

Well DB in S1 was one of the easiest dungeons out there.

Since then I have no idea what they did, but somehow they bumped the difficulty. The timer is kinda tight now.

It was halfway through the cast.

Never said the miniboss did, but it being pulled through the wall is a bug. I’ve never had it happen here before and it’s just one of the many tiny bugs that make this place unfun.

I already told you that wow has a thing with the Z-Axis. Spagetti code from 2004. I would not call it a “bug” per se. I would call it a “limitations of a 20 year old game”. That is more accurate to describe pulling mobs through walls.

You just have to live with it. And since 2004 people are careful where they stand and what abilities they use. For that very reason.

Did you TP somewhere? Cause TPs don’t always work. Did you step on a purple puddle? I mean… I haven’t seen anyone take damage to the beam, with out standing on the beam.

The people that die from the beam are 100% of the time melees that got too close.

And sorry to be skeptical. I just tried DB16 (wipe to pack before last boss). We had a party of DH, DK and mage. The DK died 7 times to stupid stuff. He was blaming bugs all over the place.

On the other hand. The other 2 DDs, myself and the tank did not see a single bug anywhere.

Its hard to believe on the existence of bugs when nobody sees them, nobody dies to them. And the guy complaining died 7 times to stupid stuff.

I found out the hard way that I cannot use a TP yes. I’ve never seen this happen before, almost as if the beam was desynced for me.

TPs are dangerous. 0.1s too early or too late and you die.

Also. For the record, that boss is really annoying and hard as a healer. A boss that in low keys is a meme of a boss, one you simply A-Move and kill… turns into this nightmare of a boss and the fight that makes or breaks the key.

Basically, the damage is really bursty. You have the dispel + the beams back to back and you have seconds to top off a whole party.

Normally things like that can be managed by CB totem, but the CD of the boss abilities means that CB totem needs to be dropped and charged with seconds of precision.

Not to mention that the boss can phase with people still having the dot on. That usually means 1 dead player at best. Or a wipe at worst.

So basically. In high keys you got a lot of ways to die in that boss. So many. The boss is not buggy. It’s just hard.

Once I had the main ship not show up for me at all after clearing the first trash packs :sweat_smile: had to leave the dungeon and go in again for it to be there for me.

I manages to replicate that bug in the follower dungeons I did.

It happens if you kill the big dude from the 1st pack too quickly. He is the trigger. When he dies, the boat simply leaves with out you.

To fix it: go to the ramp where the boat is supposed to be and jump. You will be TPd to the boat.
