Build your power to get CC chained, no self healing, lol. I regret wasting a lot of time for learning this dumb rotation and setting UI for it.
I checked it out on the PTR.
With self-healing, doesn’t DH have the same healing as it always has? 10% leech baseline, and + 8% leech while in Meta. DH even has 2 charges of Blur now that reduces dmg by 35%.
There are also PvP talents that increase your armor by 100% and prevents you from getting interrupted when casting the big meta ability.
Let him be. He reminds me of Asmongold. Mount collector who gets beaten easy in pvp and whine his class is bad meanwhile Pilav random Serbian climb to gladiator ranks same class same spec.
Wait, hold up. Isn’t Devourer DH completely OP on beta atm?
I think it’s the players fault here
Devourer got already nerved a while back big time, so not it’s definitely NOT OP anymore.
And blizzard confirms they are aware Devourer sux in PvP, here are the new Beta patch notes for Devourer ![]()
Devourer
-
Developers’ notes: We’re taking a pass on Devourer’s damage profile in PvP with the goal of improving consistent damage and reducing the potential for one-shots. We’d like Void Metamorphosis to be a powerful cooldown, but are aiming for damage outside of the cooldown to be impactful.
-
Consume damage increased by 100% in PvP combat. Does not affect Devour.
-
Devour damage increased by 30% in PvP combat.
-
Reap damage increased by 50% in PvP combat. Does not affect Cull or Eradicate.
-
Voidblade damage increased by 15% in PvP combat. Does not affect Pierce the Veil.
-
Void Ray damage increased by 30% in PvP combat.
-
Hungering Slash damage increased by 15% in PvP combat. Does not affect Reaper’s Toll.
-
Impending Apocalypse now increases the damage of your next Collapsing Star by 15% in PvP combat (was 30%).
-
Focused Ray now increases the damage of Void Ray by 15% in PvP combat (was 50%).
-
Inevitable End now reduces the cast time of Collapsing Star by 25% instead of increasing its damage done.
-
Predator’s Wake damage reduced by 15% in PvP combat.
-
Devourer’s Bite now increases the damage your target takes by 5% per application (was 12%).
-
Surrender to the Void now increases damage dealt while in Void Metamorphosis by 10% (was 20%).
not quite each soul shard for void dh gives 1% hp for havoc it’s a lot more (20%) also you can get up to 5% orbs with reap that is ONCE you generate them–and if you eye beam that goes up to 10. but that is only if you can FULLY channel eye beam.
Regarding blur both spec has 2 charges of it but havoc also gets neterwalk built in blur ie each blur gives 2.5 seconds immunity to dmg, while they can dps fully. Havoc also gets deflect and shield while blade dancing.
Also over all more base dmg hence more usage out of leech. Played both havoc and void dh in beta since beta came out. In beta it was a one trick pony, only viable build was full melee, where you wouldn’t even pick collapsing star (due to bugs it had and it’s dmg being less than melee combo).
They nerfed the melee dmg (which was reasonable as it was one shotting people) though they didn’t really give it any more healings or defensives. As for the armor bit, it gets armor yes but unlike most other specs it doesnt have much hard defensives (hunter turtle, mage block, lock shield etc), also it makes it immune to interrupts there are a billion other ways to stop the cast and unlike other hard hitting abilities say, like chaos bolt, if you get interrupted (stunned and what not) during cast, you loose all your souls, so you can’t try to cast it again really.
meta+hunt one shots even healers idk how is it bad lol.
burst is quite obvious, and given one shot tends to use gullotony which reduces meta time drastically, any root, line of sight cut, tends to break the burst in two. Hard defensives also can tank it. Outside meta it hits like wet noodle.
It is insanely strong if you end up avoidable burst, and super weak outside that. If they end up tuning it (Which they probably wil), I hope they make up for what the class lacks in return of toning down that burst.
