Display mode only in windowed?

Hmm i can only pick windowed or fullscreen (windowed) WHY cant i just pick fullscreen???

That got removed in Legion if I recall or pre BFA launch.

Full screen mode was removed during Legion, when the BfA pre-patch went live.

The reason for this is because Microsoft mandate the removal of full screen modes, in order to be permitted to use the DirextX 12 API.

Those other games that still have “full screen” are either running DirectX 11, or Borderless Windowed Full Screen, and not true full screen. Or are outright breaking Microsofts DirectX API terms (or have alternative agreements with Microsoft).

Correct. The available options are as listed above, Fullscreen (windowed) or Windowed mode.
