DKs Just Unsubscribe

What’s the point of playing this game as a DK? The design is absolutely awful. I have been testing every class since the launch of this expansion to get a better understanding of how they function as of now and I have come to the conclusion that Death Knights are the worst of the worst…

What do you mean? They have limited comps, but they’re doing well.
Some of those comps are even (or close to) S tier.

DK’s are good, but they like to complain on the forums for no reason.

DK’s burst is too big, while the sustained damage is too low. That sums up DKs pretty well. Dunno how they play with 226+ ilvl though.

Frost is not enjoyable and unholy is always unplayable. They even sort of ruined class design in SL, it was better in BfA which is quite amazing if you ask me. They just need to bring back mop unholy

frost is fun but not into wizards lol
MOP unholy was dope tho agree

Stay true to your class.Keep playing and never give up.Your reward is going to be 100x better than any of these FOTM players can ever dream of.

Most ‘‘pro’’ ww monks, balance druids, fire mages and ret paladins were never able to get 1500 rating before SL.

They were all stuck at 30% win ratio in every bracket. Why?Because they play classes patch to patch. They never have time to learn their class properly. That happens when you rely on your cd’s only.

Once they waste cd’s and fail to kill the target, they can just leave arena, because there’s no chance of winning.

To be fair, some of the complaints are pretty legit, like Death Strike being underwhelming, and our armor being like paper against the physical damage.

DK burst deals half of Ret Pala’s burst, or perhaps not even half.

I wish it did half

12.5K dps in a burst would be quite cool

The only reason DKs can kill anything is because of the burst. So simply adding sustained dmg buffs on top of that would be too much. So reducing the burst dmg and increasing the sustained will place DK at the sweet spot, design-wise for damage that is.

Ret needs to be tuned down too. WW as well.

Simply put, way too much dmg is placed in bursts. What’s the point of PvP itself if everything you do ends up being decided in the burst anyway? What is all of those extra seconds/minutes for, while waiting for CDs to return if they didn’t die in the opener?
It needs to be designed to become more methodical in the way you win, instead of designing it to be decided in bursts 9 times out of 10.

For Frost:
Be nightfae
Pick Niya
Craft Koltira’s Favor
Grip > Blind > Spear/Vortex > Pillar > Frost Strike > Death’s Due [grants a huge chunk of mastery]> obliterate hits 2 targets for 11k each without skyfury.

It really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be, granted if you spec night fae you most likely lose your chances of playing Unholy in raids.

To be fair, Frost is pretty decent right now in PvP. Good utility and damage with our stun, root and Chill Streak combos.

In general the complaint is the outdated nerfs we got in PvP from BFA that still remains, and that Unholy needs to be bumped up to compete. Necro Strike was a good start, but in the current instant heal/burst meta, it could use another buff.

I think they just need to be careful with the buff dials though, and work in small iterations.

DK’s can feel quite underwhelming when we got S-Tier classes that perform so much above the other classes, and looking at the coming patch notes so far, it is almost as if those classes are supposed to be baseline

Speaking of Unholy, it makes no sense that abomination is so weak where as Xuen can practically kill you alone while being unkitable due to its jumps.

But why are u at 1500 after 300 games in 3s if its so gut?

Focus mainly on RBG’s, the lack of defensive’s isn’t as noticable there as they are in Arenas. Besides, it’s a difference between being “Good” and “Decent”

But people talking about arena and DK state in general. As for RBG sadly but this is place for fast gearing and almost free elite set. Even half-decent player don’t touch this bracket, RBG was dead 2 expansions in a row. You even can find a static and reach 2.1K+ easily, coz its almost the same as farming pugs in casual BGs. Too much effort and time invest, heard a lot of from strong PvP players from streams if RBG have yolo q - they will play it, in other cases no.

I think that issue comes down to it’s easier to compliment classes/lack of skills/gear in RBG’s than Arena’s in general. Since it comes down to communication, strategy and what your comp is.

In Arena if you’re up against the meta classes/specs it’s much more difficult to manage them, early CR it’s just knowing their CD’s and you can with ease beat those who just play the class because “Hurr durr, CD OP”.

If you’re running at a slight uphill, you can beat people that are running at a downhill if you got the cardio and skill. But it can only take you so far until you’re up against equally skilled people running the same downhill.

No the main difference that most of the competetive community don’t touch RBG bracket - coz of time - rewards and prestige. It was dead for 2 expansions in a row, and alive in SL coz of gearing and free elite set.
